Ouch. Things are not looking good for this season's X Factor and all signs are pointing to Khloe Kardashian as the reason. It's no secret that pretty much everyone in the world is so sick of this overexposed family, but I would have thought this hosting gig would perhaps legitimize Khloe since it's not actually a mind numbing E! reality show that follows around her family as they get married do nothing…vapidly.
It seems that many X Factor viewers have expressed their disdain for Khloe getting the gig, and ratings have been Plummeting (yes, it's so bad I needed a capital P) since she joined the show. I know what you're thinking…she's only been on the two live episodes thus far. That's what makes it even worse!
Simon Cowell is being blamed for bamboozling Fox into thinking that Khole would be a fan favorite who would boost ratings. Little did he know that instead she would bring a boycott.

The Examiner has broken down the numbers, and the ratings speak for themselves. Overnight, from Khloe's first live episode on Halloween to her second on November 1 the show lost well over a million viewers. Yikes! Check out the numbers from last year's show and this season, as well as how many viewers were lost with the addition of Khloe:
- The X Factor U.S. ratings average in 2011 (the show's first season): 12 million U.S. viewers per episode
- The X Factor U.S. ratings average in 2012 (the show's second season): 9 million U.S. viewers per episode so far
- The X Factor U.S. ratings for Kardashian's debut episode: 7.6 million U.S. viewers
- The X Factor U.S. ratings for Kardashian's second episode: 6.24 million U.S. viewers
While some Kardashian fans (are there any?) may blame Hurricane Sandy and the great power outage for the decline, other shows in the same time slot maintained steady numbers despite the storm. I should mention that X Factor did beat competitor The Voice on November 1…oh wait, The Voice was a rerun that night, replaying an earlier episode that many eastern affiliates couldn't air because of Sandy. According to the site, viewers have been lodging complaints against Khloe citing her as "unprofessional," "awkward," "dumb," "self-absorbed" and "unbearable to watch." Again, ouch!
As if that wasn't enough drama for the family, the sisters' new make-up line finds itself at the center of yet another lawsuit. The Kardashian's Khroma has come under fire from another brand Kroma (not be confused with Chroma, the company who first accused the family of name stealing). Kroma (no H, I realize it's difficult to follow along) secured rights to the name back in January. As if that wasn't enough, TMZ has learned that when the Kardashians applied for the Khroma name with the US Patent and Trademark Office the application was denied because it was too similar to Kroma (no H).
When no-H Kroma sent a sist cease and desist letter to the Kardashain Kamp to no avail, the company set up a meeting with Kardashian reps to discuss the trademark situation. Apparently the two Khromas couldn't reach an agreement so now Kroma is looking into legal recourse. Yup, I'd say it's not a good time to be a Kardashian…although, is it ever?
TELL US-ARE YOU WATCHING THE X FACTOR? IF NOT, IS IT BECAUSE OF KHLOE HOSTING? ARE YOU SHOCKED TO HEAR THAT THE KARDASHIANS STILL PROCEEDED WITH KHROMA AFTER BEING DENIED THE NAME?
