Director Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, were found dead in their home on December 14. Initial reports were that a man and a woman were found dead in the home of the famous director by the Los Angeles Fire Department. This couple was confirmed to be Rob and Michele. While no official announcement has been made yet, the Los Angeles Police Department is looking into the apparent homicide.
Police are interviewing family members, but no one is being detained as a suspect

According to the Los Angeles Times, LAPD Deputy Chief Alan Hamilton said the investigation was ongoing. At the Sunday night press conference, the Police Chief confirmed that detectives were securing a search warrant to launch a thorough investigation inside and outside the residence.
“The Los Angeles Police Department is not seeking anyone as a suspect or as a person of interest. And we will not be doing that until we conduct our investigation and move forward,” Hamilton said. He added that family members would be interviewed, but clarified that “no one has been detained. No one is being questioned as a suspect.”
Rob is a director, producer, and actor. Rob became famous for his role as Mike on the TV sitcom All in the Family by Norman Lear.
He is behind some of Hollywood’s most beloved films, including The Princess Bride, Misery, and A Few Good Men. He was born in the Bronx, New York, in 1942. His father was comedian Carl Reiner, and his mother was singer and actress Estelle Lebost.
Rob was previously married to Penny Marshall. He met his wife, Michele, while directing When Harry Met Sally in 1989. They married the same year and have three children together.
Rob’s second biological son with Michele, Nick Reiner, previously worked with his father. Nick has spoken openly about his struggles with drug addiction, which became the basis for his semi-autobiographical film Being Charlie, which he co-wrote and his dad directed.
