Danielle Staub, star of the Real Housewives of New Jersey is making some changes and proclamations in her life. In a new interview, the 45 year old reveals she is abstaining from sex until marriage.
“I’m abstinent now,” she reveals to PEOPLE. “I realized that with abstinence, if you really, really believe in yourself like I do, you discover your own self-worth. Abstinence means you refrain from any sex — thinking about it, doing it — even to yourself! I’m a born-again virgin.”
Danielle, who’s past as an escort and drug user was revealed during the last season of the New Jersey Housewives series, claims it’s been “over a year-and-a-half” since she’s had sex. “I am saving myself for marriage. I didn’t do it the first two times but I learned from my mistakes. So now, it’s okay to wait,” she says.
So does this mean she’s looking to get married right away? “Marriage is a goal of mine but not because I need it, but because I want it. It’s a big difference.” Danielle reveals she’s however not out there prowling for a Mr. Right, “I will never find him, he’ll find me. I think the right one will see me. I want old-fashioned courting.”
In the meantime, Danielle is keeping herself very busy while abstaining from sex. It might be safe to say abstinence has opened up a whole lot of free time for the mother of two. Danielle says she is now focused on managing her daughter’s new found career as Christine Staub is now an IMG model, and she plans on releasing her autobiography, The Naked Truth, in the spring.
And she’s not stopping there. Danielle will also be releasing a fitness and nutrition video, as well as an athletic-inspired clothing line in the spring. And oh yeah, the 2nd season of the Real Housewives of New Jersey is set to premier sometime during the spring.
