Shannen Doherty found herself the first casualty of a shocking Dancing With The Stars results show that had her and fellow actress Pamela Anderson in the bottom two.
Shannen, who had good scores and delivered a strong jive performance Monday night, however took the loss in stride saying she she was not as shocked as her fellow contestants. “I’m not a dancer,” she told PEOPLE. “Mark [Ballas] is surprised, but I’m not.”
“I did what I set out to do,” said Shannen who decided to do the show for her father, after he suffered a stroke in December. “I made my dad proud, that’s all that really matters.” Perhaps Shannen’s time on the show just wasn’t meant to be as it was also reported last night that her partner, Mark’s knee injury, was more serious that originally thought. Mark would have missed 6 weeks of dancing had Shannen remained in the competition.
Saved last night was reality star Kate Gosselin, who many had predicted would be the first to go, considering she had the second lowest scores in the competition.
Kate however spent the entire night very nervous as she was one of the last to be announced safe from elimination. “I don’t think I breathed for 10 minutes, and I don’t think that’s humanely possible,” Kate, 35, told Entertainment Tonight after the show. “I also thought I was going to throw up at the end. My gosh, that is just pure torture, is it not?”
