Just one day after receiving a bench warrant for not showing up to court, Gretchen Rossi has filed a defamation lawsuit against her ex-boyfriend Jay Photoglou.
Gretchen, star of the Real Housewives of Orange County, was scheduled to appear in Court last week in regards to the $18,000 a Judge awarded Jay last year regarding his claims that Gretchen defamed him during her attempt to get a restraining order against him. Interestingly enough, Gretchen made time to attend the launching of her milkshake at Millions of Milkshakes, just days before skipping out on her court date. What can we say? The girl has her priorities in order.
The hearing Gretchen skipped out on was to determine how much money she makes and how many assets she has. The Judge in that case however gave Gretchen a week to get her act together or else the bench warrant will be changed to an arrest warrant.
Someone needs to tell Gretchen its not defamation if everything the guy came out saying turned out to be true. Despite being a total scumbag, Jay’s tales about being in a relationship with Gretchen while she was still engaged to Jeff Beitzel have turned out to be accurate. There have been numerous photos leaked of the two, likely by Jay himself, that show them kissing and even shows Gretchen with a ring finger tattoo of Jay’s name.
With that being said, Gretchen likely doesn’t have a cast against Jay. Yes he’s a douchebag for trashing her in the press, but that doesn’t constitute defamation.
