Things continue to take a turn for the worst for Jill Zarin, aka the most hated housewife in Bravo’s history.
First, her fellow NYC Housewife Alex McCord, had some true but harsh words for Jill in a new interview. Alex weighed in on the Amazongate controversy (Jill Zarin using a fake name to leave a good review for her book, while bashing others who left her a bad review) and had the following to say: “I think that’s kind of against the rules,” Alex told The Boston Herald. “I think it’s unethical. I think you don’t review your own book and you also don’t comment on other people’s reviews.”
When asked if Jill could be responsible for a suspicious bad review written about her book, Alex doesn’t put it past her castmate. “I will say that unfortunately,” says Alex. “Jill does kind of have a history of this. Whenever she perceives a fight, she fights back pretty dirty and that’s unfortunate.”
And if anyone thinks our good ol Jill could be possibly turning over a new leaf, well think again! A new story written by the NYDailyNews on Monday, has an interesting quote from random “source” defending Jill in the article about her prematurely announcing Bethenny Frankel’s birth. The “source,” whom we shall refer to as Susan Saunders, said the following in an attempt to defend Jill: “Everyone is lashing out at Jill because of what they see on television – but in reality, if it had been any of the other “Housewives” who had made the mistake Jill did, no one would blink an eye,” says the source. “Bethenny has complained in the past Jill just can’t be happy for her, but she’s obviously making the effort.”
For anyone doubting Jill is behind this story, the NYDailyNews is the same news organization that published the stories about Alex & Simon being kicked off the show, and the infamous story about Bethenny being friendless. Jill has been accused of planting both stories in the press, so it’s not a big surprise she’s pretending to be a source and attempting to defend herself.
And in what would have made a great addition to our Is Jill Zarin Losing It? story, We apparently missed this post written by Jill over the weekend, during which she threatens to delete or block fans who say negative things to her.
“I was told B had a boy yesterday and just wanted to congratulate. I did not try to “scoop” anything. Why do people assume bad intentions. It was on the local LXTV news so big deal, I said congrats. Obviously the news half right and half wrong as she had a baby girl. If you are not a fan..you need to blog somewhere else or YES..you will be blocked and deleted. Enough.”
Good to see her taking the high road and holding it all together. There was also an article in the NYPost yesterday which a source (assuming not Jill this go around) says Jill was being a tad greedy during a swag event, and asking everyone for freebies. “It’s not like she can’t afford to buy these things,” said one of the boutique owners. “She had such a sense of entitlement, as if to say, ‘You need to give me things for free because I’m Jill Zarin’. “
And finally, some Real Housewives of NYC fans have started a petition to try to get Jill off the show. As of today, over 690 fans have signed the petition. While I dislike Jill as much as the next person, I actually think she’s good for the show. I mean every show needs a villain after all right?
