In case you’re not aware by now, Nene Leakes and Star Jones will both be appearing on the upcoming season of the Celebrity Apprentice, and there is no love lost between the two.
In fact, Nene, star of the Real Housewives of Atlanta, has slammed Star in multiple interviews, recently stating she “wouldn’t spit on Star if she was on fire.” While Donald Trump revealed during an appearance on the Jimmy Fallon Show that things turned physical between two castmates on the show, referencing Nene and Star.
Fast forward to today and a new report by Popeater reveals things got so bad that Star has had to hire security to keep Nene away from her.
“NeNe is coming unhinged,” a source close to Star tells Popeater adding that she even made LaToya Jackson cry and got in the face of singing legend Dionne Warwick.
The source adds that the issue is with Nene, who has also been shown getting into multiple fights with her RHOA castmates. “Clearly, she can’t get along with women, especially other black women. She is losing it.”
And while Nene continues to trash Star in the press, the source adds that Star is trying to rise above the negativity. Star however still feels that Nene could be a physical threat to her, which has led to her hiring her own private security guards.
“Star is a real celebrity, not some cheap reality star who is enjoying 15 minute of fame,” the friend says. “She’s a lawyer and a lady. NeNe can say what she wants about Star, but she doesn’t care now that she knows she’s safe.”
As for the Donald, he is reportedly excited at what is being called the “most dramatic season of ‘The Apprentice’ ever.” The source adds, “Donald Trump loved it. He’s no fool. He knows that this sort of drama is TV gold.”
