Professional reality star Kate Gosselin is taking the news of her show being canceled rather well, or at least she’s pretending to be.
Just moments after the TLC network made the announcement yesterday that Kate Plus 8 had been canceled, Kate, 36, took to her twitter page (yes she has a twitter page – @Kateplusmy8) to give out a statement.
In a series of multiple tweets, Kate stated: “We’ve had a great run! Six years of whirlwind funfilled adventures thanks to TLC and our many many supportive &diehard fans! While it is very sad for me and the kids (there were many tears at the breakfast table this morning!), we are looking forward with great anticipation to our bright future!”
She continued, “As is very typical for me, I am choosing to see the positive in this situation and I am excited to consider the many more invigorating opportunities that may come my way! In the meanX, I hope 2have more time4motivational speaking, book writing &other fun work opportunities that come my way… And maybe even some dating??!! We wish our fans well.” As is very typical? Whatever helps you sleep at night Kate!
As for Kate’s ex-husband, Jon Gosselin, he is simply “very relieved” the show he used to be a part of is now over. “I hope they can have more private family moments,” Jon told RadarOnline. “I hope that this will bring more privacy to my children and that they can get the proper attention they need for any personal issues they might have in the future.”
When asked about Kate’s next moves, Jon reveals he has no idea what his ex-wife is planning to do now. “I have no clue what her next move is,” Jon said. “I hope she dedicates more time to the kids now and I wish her the best as she goes forward with whatever career she wants to pursue.”
