Bethenny Frankel is eager to make the transition from reality star to talk show host. Sadly, that trasnistion has been rocky at best. Since the first twinkling rumor that the Bethenny Ever After star was hoping to move to primetime and score a new gig, she has been plagued by bad news.
First she was too abrasive and no networks wanted her, so she was forced to work with a “nice coach” (a rumor Bethenny denied), then no networks picked up the show and she got dropped – and finally Fox bit after Ellen Degeneres got involved in the production of the show.
Well, following Bethenny’s first week as a talk show host, the limited released show has been plagued by topsy turvy ratings – that according to some are getting lower by the day. Day one of ‘bethenny’ got pretty decent numbers about 1.5 million viewers on average. Which is pretty solid.

According to Deadline, in the NY market Bethenny did the best on her first day, scoring an impressive 1.9/7 on WNYW. The show finished third in the 11 AM hour behind ABC’s The View and CBS’ The Price Is Right. However it seems Bethenny’s ratings did not remain consistent in the NY market. The Huffington Post’s Rob Shuter reports that the ratings are dropping daily.
I guess we’ll wait and see how she does!
Moving on, Bethenny is going back to her roots and mining the Bravolebrity pool to stir up some interest in her show. On Wednesday, Kandi Burruss tweeted that she filming a segment for Bethenny’s show. “I’m in LA hanging out with @Bethenny at her new talk show,” Kandi Tweeted. Kandi will apparently be promoting Bedroom Kandi sex toys and talking self-pleasure and sex. Isn’t that just like watching her on Real Housewives of Atlanta?
Gretchen Rossi appeared on Friday’s show where she weighed in on a segment about breast implants (which she still claims she doesn’t have!) “On @bethenny now!! Tune in channel 11 west coast!,” she announced on twitter. You can watch a video of Gretchen’s segment below.
