Another day, another new reality show, right?
The creators of Pawn Stars and American Restoration have been shooting a series that follows several Las Vegas housewives, but don’t expect a Bravo-esque housewives show.
The show Vegas Moms has been filming for quite a while in Las Vegas, and it stars Amanda Kouretas, April Swartz (Mrs. Nevada 2009), Francine Sanchez (Mrs. Las Vegas 2011), Shannon Love, Carey Kennedy, and Mickey Norton. Las Vegas Weekly reports, “It is ultra sexy and fun. But they are still moms and homemakers. Yes, there’s crazy stuff and there’s drama, and they live amazing lives. The six of them have a long history together as friends, and their kids all play and know each other.”

The article continues, “It is the antithesis of Real Housewives if you want to make that comparison. First of all, they are moms, and as often as you’ll see them in Wal-Mart or a Dollar Store, they know when to put on the glitz and shop at Neiman’s and go all-out with super sex appeal when it’s party time.”
It explains why the creators have been extra secretive about the series, stating, “They have kept silent about the show while others have talked about their hoped-for Real Housewives projects, but none have resulted in go-aheads. They were filming long before any of the other female ensemble shows even began being talked about.”
While that show sounds very Bravo, I can report on another new show that has VH1 written all over it! Remember when they used to be focused on music?
Poor Atlanta. It just can’t catch a break. RollingOut.com reveals it’s the setting of yet another awesomely bad show where the women have no self-respect and the men act like fools. Get ready for Real Mistresses of Atlanta! The show, which was created by the ever classy Memphitz (who was rumored to be the one who went crazy on Love & Hip Hop Atlanta’s K. Michelle) follows around a bunch of “models” who basically serve as concubines to wealthy married men. No, Kim Zolciak isn’t on it.
We’ll meet a stripper who has dated Drake and Sean Kingston, a “model” who is living off the money of an unnamed married NBA star, and a gay guy who claims to have bedded multiple actors and athletes. Another mistress makes no apologies for her lifestyle, stating, “If I were ever approached by a wife, there’s no argument. There’s no fight. I would sympathize with her dearly, but if it’s anything you need from me, you need to know what I’m doing to have your man coming to me.” Fair enough…I really just don’t know what to say!
Of course, don’t let me forget about the one Caucasian mistress who makes some really disparaging words about black women…before getting injections to make her butt bigger. I’d hate to leave her out of the mix! Gahhh!!!!!!!
