Chris Harrison Confirms Sean Lowe As The Next Bachelor

The next Bachelor is Sean Lowe!

Chris Harrison confirmed the news to SheKnows on the Primetime Emmy Awards red carpet last night. When asked whom Chris would like to see as the next Bachelor… perhaps Sean, Chris answered, "Well, a little known secret, he has been chosen."

While Roberto Martinez and Arie Luyendyk Jr. were also considered, all recent signs, rumors, and spoilers pointed towards Sean Lowe as the next Bachelor.

"Sean was filming in the front yard in his swim trunks, playing in the sprinklers with his niece and nephew while cameras rolled," Bachelor blogger Reality Steve revealed two weeks ago.

Reality Steve continued, "I expect this to be part of his video package in the beginning where we hear voice overs of him talking about how he knows the process can work, he's excited about finding a wife, and saying the exact same things the 24 previous leads before him have said, all while walking the streets of Dallas aimlessly looking into the sky and pondering deep thoughts in his head."

Fans of the Bachelor franchise are torn. Will Sean's journey <drink!> make for good TV? Will Sean's good looks and six pack abs make up for his rather dull personality?

"He does come across as someone who's a bit more genuine than Bachelors past, doesn't seem to be much of a player, and has a very strong religious background that is a big part of his life," Reality Steve said. "Will it translate to good TV? Who knows."

Chris Harrison said, "I think he will be really good."
