Every time I have to write about LeAnn Rimes Twitter battle, I giggle out loud. The entire concept is something so completely foreign to me, and it reminds me of a passage from Dr. Seuss' wonderful book Fox in Socks, "Let's have a little talk about tweetle beetles….What do you know about tweetle beetles? Well…When tweetle beetles fight, it's called a tweetle beetle battle. And when they battle in a puddle, it's a tweetle beetle puddle battle." It's seriously what goes through my head every time. Every. Time.
When LeAnn tweetle twitter battles, she does it with fans of her new husband's ex-wife, Real Housewives of Beverly HIlls' Brandi Glanville. Then she sues them. As we all know, LeAnn is suing a teacher who allegedly taped a conversation when the singer called to find out why said teacher was mean to her on Twitter. A great deal of swearing occurred on LeAnn's part. Now the teacher, Kimberly Smiley (any relation to Slade?) is asking for an extension to fight the suit, as she has been unable to raise enough money to hire an attorney.

The mother of six tells Radar Online, "We are just an average family trying to make ends meet each month. We are faced with a lawsuit from a high priced powerful Beverly Hills attorney and trying to find an attorney has been hard."
Kimberly is attempting to pay for the lawsuit through her homeowners' insurance, but she cites the entire process is extremely difficult. She explains,"Financially with deductibles, the inevitable rate increase, and travel expenses this lawsuit will cause great financial strain. This is no big deal to LeAnn, who has gotten the attention she wants, but to us this is stressful & embarrassing. We didn't want the attention. Now we plan to fight back & try to recoup our money & our reputations," adding, "Her publicity stunt won't be looked kindly on by the legal system."
This whole situation is just so bizarre, and in my opinion, it's not painting LeAnn in the most positive light–and that's not even taking into account her affair with Brandi's then husband Eddie Cibrian!
It also appears that Brandi couldn't contain her pleasure (or sarcasm) recently when LeAnn canceled a concert after a stint in rehab for anxiety. The RHOBH star took to Twitter (where else?) to write, “Call me CRAZY but I don't think "Twee-hab" worked! Xxxb” Clever! You have to appreciate her nod to LeAnn's first big hit, Patsy Cline's Crazy.
For her part, LeAnn is defending her decision to seek help in light of her Twitter war. She reveals, “I think it’s really hard to deal with Twitter and Facebook and all these social media outlets. And it’s hard to take it day after day of reading and seeing things that someone you don’t even know says about you. As much as you said you don’t want it to penetrate, it does, because you’re human.”
Brandi was quick to defend her tweet–and she's got an excuse. She tweeted last night, ""The "twee-hab" comment was a joke intended 4 my book gaygent Michael broussard who I forced into taking a leave of absence from twitter," continuing, "Y do news outlets think that EVERYTHING I tweet or joke about is aimed at a certain country singer… Its only like a 10% of it 😉 JOKING!!"
Joking? Yeah, sure you are!
TELL US-DO YOU THINK LEANN'S LAWSUIT IS AS RIDICULOUS AS I DO? DO YOU BELIEVE THAT BRANDI'S TWEET WASN'T ABOUT LEANN?
