Happy Valentine's Day, y'all! Whether you're celebrating with the love of your life or just an extra large black coffee like this gal, make sure to partake in some candy and go out of your way to make even strangers feel appreciated. To be honest, I've never understood this holiday. Even when I've been in serious relationships, I think people should strive to do grand gestures for loved ones any and every day…not just the day that Hallmark pressures them. Perhaps I'm feeling bitter because I didn't get flowers this morning… 🙂
Do you know who is celebrating today in a new relationship? Why, it's Mercedes "MJ" Javid from Shahs of Sunset! The perpetually single Persian party girl is finally settling down with a new guy…or trying to, at least! It's hard to say if MJ will ever really calm her wild ways.

MJ talks to OK about her budding love life, and the ups and downs that come with learning about yourself while balancing a new relationship with someone else. She admits, "In the man department, I've definitely been guarded, and you're going to see me taking risks and making myself vulnerable."
She reveals that it is challenging to be in a new relationship, and it's not always easy to make time for her new beau with her busy schedule. Being honest about her previous love life, MJ continues, "I've had a really boring dating life for most of my life, and I don't want that to be the case."
Of course, MJ hasn't really needed the excitement of a new boyfriend given that she pretty much finds excitement wherever she goes…usually in the form of an open bar and a monokini. However, the reality star has no regrets, even regarding her most outlandish behavior. She tells the site, "I'm not ashamed of myself. I'm really actually proud of who I am, for better or for worse."
Well, that is a great attitude to have. MJ clearly knows what every Cosmo mag and dime-store therapist preaches…you've got to be happy with yourself before someone else can be happy with you! Check out her entire interview below.
