NY Magazine reports that Heather is claiming that Spanx is ripping off her Yummie Tummie designs. The longtime brand is apparently copying her camisoles, y'all! Apparently an anonymous source sent Heather some Spanx shapewear and the control top cami looked very familiar.

After the initial round of legal letters, Heather believed that everything was settled and that Spanx would back down from selling the copycat pieces. However, Spanx just filed suit in the Northern District Court of Georgia citing that its Top This Tank, Top This Cami, Total Taming Tank, and others "have not infringed and do not infringe any valid claim of the patents-in-suit." Spanx plays good offense!
Sara Blakely, the owner and president of the rival shapewear brand, released a statement, saying, "Spanx was making shaping camisoles long before Yummie Tummie. We have no further comment."
Heather responded in the media to Sara's (non) comment, stating "[Yummie Tummie will not] scream uncle … I hope [Blakely]'s ready for war because I will not lie down." I'm not sure whether she won't lie down or she CAN'T lie down due to all the body squeezing undergarments she's wearing…
