Nicole Murphy is certainly the HBIC on Hollywood Exes. The stunning beauty who is often the calm that holds the group together helped create the show which gives viewers an exclusive glimpse into the aftermath of an A-List marriage. And Nicole definitely wants viewers to know the show is honest.
"You know what? It's real," Nicole tells Ebony. "Thank God these women are my friends and we’ve all been through similar situations on different levels. It’s like a sisterhood that we have, and it’s a great support system all in one."
Nicole says the women strive to be authentic on the show. "The people that I’ve been working with—the cameramen, the producers and all them—they actually become like a second family. They become your friend and you forget that camera is there eventually. Eventually you’ll be like, 'Oh shoot, I didn’t say that! Did I say that? Oh God!'"

"But you have to keep it real. If you don’t keep it real, it shows," Nicole cautions. "It’s gonna come across and I don’t think people are gonna be interested. So what you see, you’re seeing a real thing with me, how I am."
Eddie Murphy, Nicole's super famous ex, is also supportive of the show. "He thinks it’s great. It’s not like we’re on there and we’re bashing our ex. Thank God I have a wonderful relationship with my ex-husband. He’s a wonderful father and we have beautiful kids together." Nicole adds that it's important that the show – and her attitude – stay positive.
And her current A-list fiance, Michael Strahan may or may not make an appearance this season. "Michael is busy with his show. He’s got too many jobs. There might be a little something." Nicole does reveal that viewers will see "some stuff" with "wedding plans" but we have to watch!
And finally, there has been a lot of speculation about spinoffs for the show and Nicole plays coy. "I really don’t know," she claims. "We’ve been so busy with our show. But it might be quite interesting to see something like that. The thing is pulling women together. Who’s willing to do that?!"
Moving on, Shamicka Lawrence (ex-wife of Martin Lawrence) will be joining the cast this season even though we haven't met her yet. There was much buzz that Martin was adamantly against the show and tried to prevent her from doing it. Shamicka insists that's not true!
“I let him know that I was doing the show, and he just wished me the best,” Shamicka reveals to Hip Hop Hollywood. “He’s seen the show the first season, so he knows that it’s not about ex-husband bashing,” she said.
“He knows that I’m not a messy person. I go through my emotions on the show but I don’t talk bad about him …," Shamicka clarifies. "It’s not about him, it’s about me going through my process of divorce.”
