Kandi Burruss and former friend Kim Zolciak have been embroiled in a legal battle over the world's worst song ever Don't Be Tardy!
Kandi believes that not only did Kim abuse autotune, but she also abused her professional services when she robbed Kandi and her production team of royalties related to copyright violation. Last week the Real Housewives of Atlanta stars met in court and Kim was awarded a victory based on a federal jurisdiction technicality.
Kim immediately took to twitter to brag about winning the case, but not so fast! Kandi claims she fully plans to re-file in federal court – and that the loss was a preliminary matter. "Kim really didn't win. That was just one level of it," Kandi explains to Us Weekly. "Now it goes back to other levels of the court and it's still going on." I really don't understand legal issues, so if anyone else can shed some light on the matter – please do!

As for why Kandi is pursuing the case with everything else she has going on, Kandi says it's a matter of standing up for herself.
"It's just the principal of it at this point," Kandi says. "It's not about the money. I'm doing great otherwise." Calling Kim's insistence that the lawsuit is a publicity stunt "just silly," Kandi says she plenty of other professional and personal ventures going on. "I've got my daughter and my fiance and am working on new music and a Broadway show that I will star in! So it's all good."
That's right – Kandi and fiance Todd Tucker are bringing a musical to Broadway called A Mother's Love. "It stars Eddie Levert Shirley Murdock D. Woods Q. Parker Chandra Currelley," she announced on instagram. "I'm creating songs for my play. I can't wait to hear the voices of the people we casted on the songs," Kandi added.
