Mama Joyce Weighs In On Kandi Burruss’ Wedding

Mama Joyce may have attended her daughter, Kandi Burruss' wedding to Todd Tucker this past weekend, but that doesn't mean that her feelings have changed.

Throughout the past two seasons of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Mama Joyce has often gone head to head with her daughter — bridal boutique throwdown anyone?? — and her husband-to-be Todd, over his true intentions towards Kandi.

Todd has been raked over the coals by Mama Joyce — and her various hanger-ons. Labeled a gold digger, told that he did not have true intentions towards Kandi and there was even a rumored sting operation to catch Todd with another woman. If I was him, I may have walked away long ago…

But Todd is a good person and has proved time and time again that despite what his mother-in-law has to say, he loves Kandi. The couple of almost 3 years, showed their love to the world this past weekend when they finally tied the knot. And despite her protests, Mama Joyce was in attendance. After the ceremony, she spoke exclusively to toofab's Brian Particelli, about the ceremony and some last minute pre-nup drama  — does that happen at every Real Housewives wedding?

Sharing her opinion about Todd over the last few years has been a Mama Joyce staple, but at the ceremony she let Kandi have her day — drama free.

"Long as she's happy, that's the one that has to be happy," she adds. "Doesn't make no difference if I'm happy or not, she's the one that has to live with him. I  did everything I could do. If she's jumping in the river with sharks, she's gonna get chewed up."

"It's not about me, whether I'm right or wrong," she continued. "People show you their best when you're dating them, so if she's seeing the best now, the worst is yet to come."

"I said, 'She looks very happy. I'm happy that she's happy and I hope that she continues to be happy. I hope she's always as happy as she was last night,'" revealed Joyce.

"I got a little pissed at the bridegroom the night before this wedding," Joyce reveals. "He kind of held up on signing the prenup and didn't come to the rehearsal dinner because he didn't want to sign it."

"His mom said she didn't see no reason for him to have to sign because they were in love. He was the one who didn't have a damn thing, but that's another story," she says. "But from what I understand, he did sign."

Am I the only one who thinks it is ironic that Mama Joyce seems very concerned about Todd taking her daughter's money, but has no problem living in a home owned by her daughter and probably — my pure speculation — living off her?

Oh well, Kandi and Todd tied the know despite all the drama and I hope they are happy.
