There is no denying that the girls of the Teen Mom franchise haven't always had it easy, and in some cases their overnight success made their lives into an even bigger train wreck. Of course, there are a few of the young mothers that are trying to get their lives back on track.
While one of her counterparts has used her fame to catapult herself into the porn industry, Kailyn Lowry is hoping to that teens can learn from her past experiences that she's sharing in her new book Pride Over Pity.

The Teen Mom has married, had another child, and has plans to start college this fall. In the meantime, she's promoting her memoir which reveals how Kailyn dealt with mother's alcoholism, an eating disorder, and two sexual assaults.
Speaking to In Touch, Kailyn admits, “I’ve been through so much, but I’m a survivor.”
In the book, Kailyn details losing her virginity on a sidewalk while in eighth grade and raped a year later by a new boyfriend. She discusses being pressured by her mother to have an abortion on her sixteenth birthday. Kailyn was also raped a second time by an acquaintance. She tells the magazine, “Those experiences scarred me,” adding, “But I can’t feel sorry for myself. I need to focus on my boys.”
Kailyn's main focus is her family, citing son Isaac with ex Jo Rivera and five-month old Lincoln with husband Javi Marroquin as her rocks. She explains, “Isaac was the reason I was able to conquer most things. Writing my book helped me put things in my perspective and grow up. I want to show my kids that no matter what we go through, we can come out on top.”
Here's hoping Kailyn continues to succeed because goodness knows we need one of these girls to make some intelligent choices!
