It seems that Bravo is done dragging dead weight all season – and they've learned a little lesson over Aviva Drescher's hiatus and NeNe Leakes' phoning it in. Don't bring the drama all season long, get dropped mid-season. And it's all completely legal!
In order to boost sagging ratings and keep viewers invested, NaughtyButNiceRob reports that Bravo has renegotiated the HW contracts to include a shocking new clause!
"Now ladies are being offered only 8 week contracts. If they don’t deliver the drama in the first few weeks of taping they will be dropped,” a Bravo insider says. Bravo has decided to do this to cover their asses storylines.

The insider says in the past cast members have promised big storylines and life changes, such as getting married or having a baby, only to back out once filming begins.
Bravo is also tired of promoting dull business ventures and endless Housewives products when they are supposed to be promoting lifestyles of fabulous women! And they are putting an end to dull seasons of the Housewives franchise with the new contracts.
“Bravo has got super smart. They wont be followed by false promises anymore. If the ladies don’t deliver the drama fast, they will be cut,” a cast member reveals.
Sounds like a good idea to me – I am beyond sick of the Bravo Home Shopping Network. If your real life isn't interesting enough for reality TV, then pick a different line of work!
