Change is definitely in the air over at Real Housewives of Beverly Hills!
Rumors have been swirling for a while now that show matriarch Lisa Vanderpump wants to leave. Her dissatisfaction with her castmates along with the success of her spinoff Vanderpump Rules means that she no longer needs RHOBH. After Lisa skipped the Bravo Upfronts to open her new restaurant PUMP and gave an interview sharing that she still had not forgiven Brandi Glanville, there's been lots of talk that she will officially leave the show. And Bravo is doing everything in their power to keep her!
Andy Cohen visited PUMP where he had dinner with Lisa and their mutual close friend Lance Bass. The reason: Andy is desperate to keep Lisa on RHOBH and is hoping that he could use Lance to help persuade Lisa to stay! TMZ called it a "last ditch effort" on Bravo's part to convince Lisa to remain on RHOBH.

Lisa has not "re-upped" her contract for the fifth season and is "fed up" with RHOBH, specifically because she felt castmates (led by supposed friends Brandi and Yolanda) ganged up on her for a storyline last season. Sources say Andy is "extremely nervous" about losing Lisa who has a big pull with the fans, and with RHOBH ratings tanking big time last season, he spent most of their dinner cajoling Lisa to remain a Housewife! It's unclear if Lisa is reconsidering – as we know, Lisa is not the forgiving kind!
None of the other Housewives have been offered contracts yet – sources say Andy is "playing favorites" and going for Lisa first! So that little appearance by Kim, Kyle, and Yolanda at the Upfronts – just a save face move by the network because they needed someone to represent RHOBH. Personally I think Lisa is holding out to convince Bravo to make some cuts!
At the opening of PUMP, Lisa confirmed to the Huffington Post that RHOBH is still in hiatus. "We should have started filming [for RHOBH] already, but nothing has happened," she confessed. Vanderpump Rules is already filming its third season. "Revenge is sweet." Lisa admitted about the success of her solo venture.
Here's my two cents, Lisa never wanted to be a reality star. Which is why she's such a popular star. She went on TV to promote her business and it worked. On Vanderpump Rules she takes a backseat to the drama, acting as a narrator/mediator, and she seems content. I certainly don't think Lisa cares enough about RHOBH – or her castmates – to subject herself such negativity so when the show stopped being fun, Lisa stopped being interested!
