Amber Portwood is the latest Teen Mom star to pen a tell-all book about her troubled life. Unlike Kailyn Lowry and Farrah Abraham‘s memoirs, I truly think Amber’s book will be an interesting and honest account of her struggles.
Amber‘s tell-all, Never Too Late, is set to be released next month. “My book is to help others,” she tweeted. “I’ve had a book deal for years and haven’t used it because I felt there was no purpose… but now there is… love.”

Post Hill Press shared, “Never Too Late tells the real story of how the young mother learned to deal with the demons that nearly destroyed her, leaving readers with a powerful message that no matter how far down a person might fall, it’s never too late to get back up and change the future.”
Never Too Late description:
“Amber Portwood is famous for her shocking behavior on the MTV reality shows 16 & Pregnant and Teen Mom. But the wild outbursts, drug abuse, suicide attempts and jail stints are only part of the story. Never Too Late is a brutally honest account of how the sarcastic teen from Indiana nearly lost everything to depression and addiction, and found herself just in time to change her life.”
Excerpts from Never Too Late:
“Addiction. Mental illness. Death. Divorce. Betrayal. Violence. Suicide attempts. Felony charges. Rehab. Drug overdoses. Jail. Oh yeah, and there’s some sex and rock ‘n’ roll in there, too. But I’m going to tell you how it all happened. Maybe when I’m done you’ll understand some of the weirder parts of the story, like the reason I walked away from my daughter to voluntarily serve time in prison.”
“What makes me completely fulfilled is the love I have with Leah and the emotions I feel when I’m with her. She’s really holding onto me, and I’m holding onto her too. It makes me feel like everything is worth something. Leah reminds me every day not just of my responsibilities as a parent and a person, but of the joy I’m capable of feeling. For the first time in my life, I see the point in everything. I finally believe I can be happy.”
After 17 months in prison, Amber is sober and healthy today. She’s focused on rebuilding her relationship with her daughter, Leah, attending college, and planning for a career devoted to helping others with substance dependencies. Rumor has it that Amber, along with Maci Bookout and Catelynn Lowell, is filming a new season of Teen Mom as well.
Never Too Late is set to be released August 26.
