Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks and singer/songwriter Faith Evans were Andy Cohen‘s guests on Watch What Happens Live last night. Phaedra shared her thoughts on that awkward club scene with Apollo Nida on last night’s RHOA, Apollo’s lies about Kenya Moore, and more.
Andy surmised that it must be hard for Phaedra to watch this season of RHOA considering all she has gone through – and is still going through – with Apollo. “Definitely. Any time you are dealing with something very personal in the media and on TV it’s very difficult,” said Phaedra. “It’s quite uncomfortable.”

Andy said the night club scene was difficult for him to watch, adding, “There was something a little threatening about it.” Nodding her head, Phaedra said, “Obviously we’ve seen Apollo on the show become aggressive. He has been during this time – this was obviously shot four or five months ago – he’s been on an emotional rolloer coaster. He’s been up and down. It’s been quite difficult to deal with his personality… whichever one shows up.”
When asked what was going through her mind at the time, Phaedra shared, “Not so much going through my mind but more so just wondering why he would obviously come to this night club and try to have such an interesting conversation in the midst of all these people versus having it where it is more appropriate.” Phaedra denied shutting out Apollo at home. She also made it very clear that they’re “resolving to dissolve” their marriage.
A caller asked Phaedra if she’s spoken to Todd Tucker and Kandi Burruss since the sudden death of Todd’s mother Sharon. She said she checks on them every day, adding, “They’re doing very well. Any time you have a death of someone that close to you, especially a parent, it’s very difficult. Of course I am a funeral directress, as you well know, so I have intel on these things. They’re doing very well. It’s a very sad situation, but Todd is quite the trooper. I’m very proud of how he’s handled the situation.”
Andy asked Phaedra why she questioned Apollo‘s admission that he lied about Kenya. “Because I thought the behavior of Kenya wasn’t consistent with it actually being a lie,” she said. “If a man told that type of lie on me, I wouldn’t still try to interact with him and I still wouldn’t be chasing after him. I wouldn’t attack their wife constantly. That’s not consistent behavior. As a woman, I wouldn’t be befriending and trying to have a conversation with someone who told supposedly such a lie.”
A caller asked Phaedra where she stands between Cynthia Bailey and NeNe Leakes. She said, “I don’t stand anywhere because it’s really none of my business. I just stay out of where I don’t belong. I would love it if they could be friends again, but at the end of the day, I don’t have a dog in that fight.” Phaedra didn’t answer the caller about whom she thinks is responsible for the demise of NeNe and Cynthia’s friendship.
When asked if Apollo has said anything about her in interviews that pissed her off, Phaedra snarked, “Oh, lots of things… not enough fingers and toes…” Phaedra shared that she and her boys talk to Apollo several times a week. She went on to say that Dylan is obviously too young to understand but that Ayden knows where his dad is. “That’s very tough for a four year old,” she sighed.
Andy asked for Phaedra’s opinion on NeNe‘s “blond mushroom cap” on RHOA last night. Phaedra said, “Giving me Blondie!” All she’s giving me is He-Man.
