Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra are now parents to a beautiful little girl! The former and present Teen Mom couple welcomed both their second daughter and 2015 into the world on the same day!
“IT’S HAPPENING! Here we go, doing this all over again. This is surreal, I’m freakin out a little lol but can’t wait to meet my little angel!” Tyler gushed on Instagram as Catelynn went into labor. “Thinking a lot about Carly right now. It’s bringing me back. Even though I know this time I will actually be taking her home. I love my girls! #CantWait #Nervous #Excited #Scared #Happy”

The couple whom we originally met on 16 & Pregnant‘s first season then gave their daughter Carly up for adoption, after years of wrestling with that decision and working through relationship issues, Catelynn confirmed her second pregnancy this summer. Catelynn and Tyler also celebrated Christmas with a re-engagement ring, and then rang in the new year by welcoming their new baby!
Tyler announced the birth, tweeting, “OMG guys, my daughter is BEAUTIFUL! Can’t wait for you guys to see her! Born on 1/01/15 at 3:15 #StillCantBelieveIt #ShesPerfect.” The couple hasn’t officially revealed the name of “Baby V”, although MTV reports they named her Nova Reign.
“Momma Bear holding our little angel! Can’t tell you the feeling of witnessing this. Look at my beautiful bride to be! That woman is beyond strong, caring, and selfless. Couldn’t have asked for a better little family #Blessed #NewYearBaby #MyGirls #AreMyWorld,” Tyler shared.
Several other Teen Mom and Teen Mom 2 stars also congratulated Catelynn and Tyler, including Maci Bookout who just announced her second pregnancy. Good thing MTV has the cameras rolling for all the exciting events!
Unfortunately not everyone was supportive of Catelynn and Tyler’s new arrival. Catelynn announced she was in labor and faced some of upset comments on twitter and instagram from people who felt the couple’s excitement was insensitive and hurtful to Carly, now 5.
Catelynn defended her tweet. “No it will not be hurtful because she knows everything about her story. We are in a totally different place older wiser and own a home stuff we didn’t have when I was pregnant with Carly. We have an awesome relationship and she can ask any questions she has so in no way will she feel like I loved this child anymore then I love her!”
Furthermore, although Catelynn is Carly’s birthmother, she is not Carly’s mother. Catelynn and Tyler are writing a book about their lives titled, Conquering Chaos, which will give further insights into how they decided to give Carly up for adoption and how the experience shaped them. As if we didn’t see enough of that on the zillion seasons of Teen Mom, followed by Couples Therapy.
