Real Housewives Of New York Season 7 Premiere Drama And Ratings! Plus, Sonja Morgan Confirms Patti Stanger’s Story About Mario Cheating On Ramona!

What went down at the Real Housewives Of New York premiere party last week? Why drama with Ramona Singer and Sonja Morgan, of course, who happen to also being having friction with each other! 

Last Tuesday the ladies of RHONY celebrated the premiere of season 7 with a bash at OA Bar & Grill in Tribeca. And they had reason to celebrate: Zap2It reveals that ratings for this season are already great! Revamped RHONY scored 2.2 million viewers, which is double-digit growth from the season 6 premiere, and combined with part 2 of the Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills reunion, earned Bravo its best Tuesday night of 2015.

Now back to the party! Things started off chaotically when Sonja showed up with all 40 members of Team Sonja (comprised of 37 interns, her dentist, and one horticulturist to the stars – I made this list up), but had forgotten to turn in her guest list in advance leading to mayhem at the front door over who had admittance and who was a gate crasher! 

Bethenny Frankel skipped the party to promote her new book in LA, leaving her co-stars miffed, at this latest slight from Bethenny, who repeated blew-off cast events and tormented everyone with her elitist attitude. However, Bethenny was represented in the form of Skinnygirl booze which was prominently on display. “As usual Bethenny wants to separate herself from the pack, so she scheduled her book tour in L.A. the same day as the premiere so she couldn’t attend,” complains a source. “But she managed to send a case of her booze.”

That irked Ramona, who decided Ramona Pinot should be the official booze of RHONY. “When Ramona saw it [Skinnygirl] displayed on the bar, she carried it herself to the back, then replaced it with Ramona pinot,” dished the source. 

Sources say Ramona was in a ribald mood and proceeded to hit the pinot liberally, to no one’s surprise, and she also brought a date along with her to celebrate her freedom from Mario! “Ramona seemed drunk, and couldn’t get enough of the red carpet,” a witnessed laughs. “She kept walking back over to take more pictures.”  

“We have the 3 F’s this season: We’re feisty, fun and there’s lots of fighting,” Ramona crowed to the NY Daily News. “My divorce is almost finalized, I’m dating, this is my date tonight, Michael Alexander.” Ramona also dished about her upcoming revenge tell-all Life on the Ramona Coaster, which will include salacious details about her marriage and divorce. 

Witnesses also report there being tension between Ramona and Sonja! Sonja “rolled her eyes when asked [by reporters] if Ramona’s date would turn into a relationship. She said that Ramona is just out of the gate, it’s too new.”

Also enjoying the libations was Sonja, who finally admitted to being “delusional” about her business endeavors and admits the toaster oven was a flop, because well, the toaster oven is already perfect as is! She would know – she’s its biggest fan.

However, Sonja credits her “struggling appliance collection” (it exists?!) as “a great door opener” to segue into her lifestyle brand.“The toaster oven was a great entree into the department stores to show my full bling and show my fashion lifestyle while cooking in high heels,” she gushed. 

Sonja sniped that Ramona has been unsupportive and misrepresented Sonja’s visions and situations. “I didn’t appreciate when Ramona said the House of Morgan is crumbling,” she seethed. “I go to court, I fight my issues like other businesswomen do. I run my house like a businesswoman and am handling my Chapter 11 like a businesswoman.”

Sonja’s also confirmed Patti Stanger‘s recent reveal that she and Jill Zarin caught Mario cheating on Ramona in the Hamptons. Sonja called into Patti’s podcast to support Patti’s recent allegation and explain her motivation was frustration with Ramona’s attitude. “I had heard the rumor that you and Jill were at that party,”she quipped. 

Sonja also touched on her issues with her long-time friend and admitted, “What happens is the longer you’re on the show, the harsher it gets.” Jill, who was also a guest, derided Ramona as being a “mean nasty person” after comments Ramona made about her former co-star on WWHL. 

Well tonight, in episode 2, the ladies head to the Hamptons to celebrate Luann’s yardsale and new home, where Bethenny and Ramona erupt into an argument! Sonja meets Dorinda for the first time and they have an interesting exchange, plus Luann takes umbrage with Carole flirting with her chef, who also happens to be Lu’s niece’s ex-boyfriend.
