Ramona Singer has returned to Real Housewives Of New York a very different woman. In the midst of an acrimonious divorce from Mario, her husband of 22-years, Ramona is embracing a new perspective, so she claims, but at her core she’s still the same Pinot – over-reacting, spazzing, and popping crazy eyes. Which means she’s still battling Bethenny Frankel! Still, there’s a softer side now, one that is cherishing friendships and mending old wounds. Oh, and “keeping the company of men” (which is a “dignified” way of saying “dating” in Pinot’s world).
First, combining old friendships with new Housewives. “Dorinda [Medley] and I always had a special connection, and it was wonderful to have her at my home. People come into your life at different times and for different reasons,” describes Ramona. “Having Dorinda around has been so helpful with the ending of my marriage with her understanding, concern, warmth, and support.”

Next, combining old friendships with new dynamics. “I love Sonja [Morgan], but I never realized how she makes it all about her. I guess it’s because I never needed her in the way I do now,” admits Ramona. “Sonja and I will always have a strong bond–it’s just that I have always been a giving person and taken care of people I’m close to. I wish Sonja could do more of that for me, as I have always done for her, but everyone is different, and I accept it. I must say all the ladies have been very supportive toward me, including Sonja.”
In the Hamptons, Ramona was initially “excited to see Bethenny” and “adored” Luann de Lessep‘s new home, but she was surprised by the direction a lovely evening took when she immediately faced the wrath of Bethenny.
Finally, old feuds die hard! Ramona was confused why Bethenny was challenging her about her dating situations. “I am old school at heart. I don’t believe everything should just be out there… I’m far from a prude, but I like my privacy,” Ramona states. “I am trying to be more open and understanding of people.”
However, she was extremely miffed by Bethenny hijacking her brunch! “I was surprised when I invited everyone to the lunch that I was hosting in honor of Dorinda that it turned into an argument with Bethenny,” Ramona writes in her Bravo blog. “Was she right? Was I right? It really doesn’t matter who was right or wrong.”
NuRamona continues, “To me, what matters is to get past it and just work it out. That’s why I ran after Bethenny. I wanted to patch things up. I was shocked by her anger toward me. I felt verbally beat up by her and very hurt.”
Well, I don’t know who was right, but I do think Bethenny is treating RHONY like she needs to mark her territory and is surprised to find she’s been neutered. Bethenny thinks she owns the place, and is shocked to find that a whole different organism grew in her absence.
Now, of course, Ramona is always prone to over-reacting and was wild-eyed looking for a fight, just waiting for Bethenny to challenge her. I thought Bethenny was mean to say she can’t hang out with Ramona while she’s having a personal issue, and I think Ramona was rude to be condescending to Bethenny and immediately challenge her over petty issues. This is gonna be interesting – I’m psyched!
