Real Housewives of Orange County fans are in for a surprise next season – a new and improved Heather Dubrow. Um, says Heather. In a recent interview, Heather explained how she has changed since her first season on RHOC.
“I came in not knowing anyone,” said Heather. “I came from the scripted world, and I was very uncomfortable doing reality. When I first started the show, I was very buttoned-up and very reserved. It’s really been an evolution for me in the group and on the show.”
Heather cited family responsibilities and feeling isolated for her “anger” last season. “I was very tired,” she said, “and I didn’t see the other girls a lot. I felt very isolated. I was really angry last year. I wasn’t sure why. I think that’s why.”

Heather said she took a much-needed break from work to focus on her family while Terry Dubrow filmed Botched, “When Terry went back to work on Botched, as a family and a couple we talked about it and we decided I needed to take a step back. Let Terry go do his thing.”
“I need to be in charge of the family and our marriage and make sure everyone is functioning, and then I’ll have my time again,” continued Heather. “You need to make those critical decisions, and it made me such a happier person, and it allowed me relax.”
Heather claimed viewers will see the “real” Heather on the upcoming season of the Real Housewives of Orange County, “Of course every season has been me, but I would say I have felt more like myself this season than any other season. The audience will see a lot of my personality they haven’t seen before, and I’m probably more of who I really am.”
“When I joined the show I really went into it blindly and now, after four years, I have real relationships,” shared Heather. “I think it’s going to be interesting.”
I have a hard time picturing Heather as anything but pretentious and snobby, so, um, we shall see. In related news, Tamra Judge shared on Instagram that season 10 of RHOC kicks off June 1, 2015. But she has since deleted the post.
