Katie Hamilton has just decided to open her life up to Real Housewives Of Orange County viewers only to be blindsided by her MLB baseball player husband Josh Hamilton filing for divorce in the midst of filming!
The couple has been married for 11 years when this February, Josh reportedly suffered a cocaine relapse and then abruptly filed for divorce from Katie! According to well-placed reports Josh told several people his relapse was spurned by a fight he had with his wife. Still, Katie says the divorce filing “came out of nowhere” and she has no idea what prompted it!

“Nothing sparked it,” shares Katie. “There was no big fight or blow up.” The couple was happily posing for date night photos on instagram weeks before Josh filed papers! (Photo above)
Included as a provision in Josh’s divorce papers was him prohibiting Katie from having intimate guests, but she has NO idea what that is about and denies there was any cheating on her end. “I never cheated on my husband,” the very religious mother of 4 tells TMZ. “Are you kidding me? I did my marriage the entire right way.”
“I’ve always stood by him and I’ll always stand by him,” Katie maintains. “I support and love him now and down the road.” Katie has stood by Josh through countless relapses and issues in his MLB career. She insists she wants nothing but success for Josh in his life, despite the shocking situation. Wow… wonder how this will play-out on RHOC… the show premieres June 10th, and Katie was possibly considering pulling-out of the show because of her issues with Josh. Apparently she’s reconsidered because filming is still on-going as confirmed by Lizzie Rovsek who says they have “probably another few weeks of filming” left.
“It should probably be a pretty interesting season,” Lizzie shares. “It takes a while for [the drama] to heat up, but when it heats up… I think it’s going to surprise a lot of people.” And one thing that’s making season 10 so interesting is Lizzie has had a change of heart where Tamra Barney is concerned! “Tamra and I are great!” she reveals. “We’re in a really, really good place. We’ve been getting along really well and having a lot of fun.”
“We had a great time on the trip together,” Lizzie added – which is quite a change from last season’s trip to Bali where Tamra and Lizzie majorly butted heads over Tamra’s two-faced storytelling. “There were a lot of things that were said about me, that were told to me, that were cut out,” she smirks. “And so it just looked like maybe I was running around the island causing trouble when I wasn’t.” This season the ladies traveled to Tahiti.
Of course, that’s all in the past – although it wasn’t easy to get to this good place with Tamra, in fact Lizzie describes it as “brutal.” She tells Perez Hilton, “We went through a really hard time even after we stopped filming – even after the reunion. Today I’m happy to say we’re getting along.”
“It’s a pretty humbling experience to be on this show; it’s pretty tough,” explains Lizzie. “I think you learn good things about yourself and you learn bad things about yourself.”
Lizzie also shares that her favorite Housewives from other cities are Yolanda Foster and Bethenny Frankel. “I’m glad she’s back,” says Lizzie, parroting the Bravo party line about how Bethenny is the savior to them all… this dying to extinction breed of Housewives!
