Despite checking herself into a fancy pants rehab in an attempt to impress the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office, Kim Richards has officially been charged with three crimes stemming from her vodka induced meltdown in April.
At the time of her arrest, Kim was charged with trespassing, public intoxication, resisting arrest, and battery on a police officer. Now the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star has officially been charged with three of the four: battery on a police officer (kicking a police officer), public intoxication, and resisting arrest.

The Beverly Hills Police Department reported that Kim displayed “symptoms of alcohol intoxication, including slurred speech and belligerent insolent behavior, cursing at the officers, and passively resisted arrest” when they were called to the Beverly Hills Hotel last month.
A source close to the situation claimed Kim agreed to rehab solely to avoid jail time, not because she truly believes she needs help, but it seems the D.A. isn’t impressed. Those beasts! According to TMZ, Kim could be sentenced to up to two-and-a-half years in jail.
No doubt, Kathy Hilton, the good sister, will buy Kim a get out of jail free card. I see nothing more than probation and a fine in Kim’s future. Maybe community service? One of my favorite children’s books comes to mind when I think about Kim picking up trash on the side of the road… Are You My Mother Bestie?
