Prepare to be WOWed by a post-prison Teresa Giudice!
Teresa Giudice signed on for Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 7!
Oy. I cannot decide which of these headlines is more “bang my head against a brick wall” worthy. Ugh. Probably the second one, because the first comes from Teresa‘s lawyer, who’s being paid (maybe) to say things like Teresa’s “strength and resolve” amaze him. <side eye> And there’s more where that came from.
“December 23rd is her release date,” Teresa‘s lawyer, James J. Leonard, told E! News. “There is a possibility that could be moved forward. That’s something we’re actively working on. She will be home for Christmas. I know that means the world to her. Christmas in her house is a big event. When she gets out, she will be on what they consider home confinement, but she will not ultimately be confined to her home. She’ll be free to travel about with certain restrictions until February 5th.” If released on December 23rd, Teresa will have spent 11 months and 18 days of her 15-month sentence behind bars.

Following the home confinement that doesn’t actually confine her to her home, Teresa will be on “supervised release.” I would like to nominate Milania <whole body shudder> as her supervisor. “She is going to be free to live her life,” revealed James, “do everything she needs to do, take care of her family, earn money, whatever comes her way.”
James added that he expects Joe to begin his 41-month sentence in March.
Prepare yourself to be wowed by Teresa. “She’s taking care of her body,” said James. “She’s taking care of her mind. She’s making sure her family is looked after. She’s reprioritizing things in her life. I think she’s going to emerge stronger, more focused. She’s getting back in touch with her faith. She’s spending a lot of time praying in there, and I think the Teresa that comes out of prison is going to wow people.”
Yes, WOWed, because Teresa is in the “best shape of her life.” She’s running track, doing yoga and pilates, and eating clean. “She looks extremely lean and fit,” shared James. “I can tell that is helping her mentally deal.”
Y’all will have to excuse me for not gushing over Teresa spending her job-less, child-less, responsibility-less, creditors-looking-for-their-money-less days working on her figure. Newsflash James: I couldn’t care less if she’s fit. It’s going to take humility and accountability for me to be “wowed” by Teresa Giudice.
James listed “being with her children, being with her family, being with Joe” and “getting back into whatever she’s going to get back into” as Teresa‘s post prison priorities. Elaborating on that “whatever” she may get into, he shared, “If that’s television, if it’s different projects, if it’s getting involved with a restaurant, etc. There are so many opportunities that she has.”
About Teresa‘s eventual release, James said, “I think she’s going to take it one day at a time, but her focus is… ‘I want to get back to my freedom, I want to get back to my husband, I want to get back to my parents, my children, and then kind of take it as it goes.’ But I expect that you’ll be seeing her shortly after she comes home.” Dun. Dun. Dun. Which brings us to her alleged return to RHONJ:
An unnamed source told All Things Real Housewives that Teresa HAS agreed to return to Real Housewives of New Jersey upon her release, therefore, season seven is officially on hold until she’s home. The source also said Teresa has been “given a lot of power” over casting decisions. “Teresa is refusing to film with Jacqueline,” the source said, “so her return is no longer guaranteed.”
And there’s more. The source claimed Joe (and Teresa) agreed to do a reality show featuring “him and the couple’s four daughters in their everyday life while Teresa is away.”
Feel free to head over to E! News to listen to James’s interview in its entirety.
