Well, folks, Kim Richards has checked back into rehab following another public drunken episode at daughter Brooke Brinson’s wedding in Mexico less than two weeks ago. TMZ reported that Kim’s belligerent and “under the influence” behavior at Brooke’s wedding, for which Kim had received “special leave” from her former treatment facility, was so extreme that Kim’s sober coach fled her side, and the country. Sources say Brooke vowed to never speak to Kim again after the incident, and even long-suffering sister Kyle Richards and husband Mauricio Umansky have made statements that they are done bailing Kim out.
Since the wedding fiasco, reports have surfaced that Kim was wandering around Mexico, refusing to return to rehab. But E! News reports that Kim did, indeed, checked herself in to a different rehab facility a few days ago. “She’s doing ok, a lot better than she had been,” a source says.

The road to recovery has been a bumpy one for the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, as Kim’s sobriety was a central concern – and an ongoing question – among castmates and viewers this past season. After an arrest at the Beverly Hills Hotel in April (after which she was charged with with one count of public intoxication, one count of resisting, obstructing, delaying a peace officer or EMT, and one count of battery upon a peace officer), Kim initially resisted the treatment offered to her during a Dr. Phil interview. She then checked herself into a different rehab days after the segment, declaring her commitment to sobriety once again.
E! News does not specify the name or type of treatment center Kim is at now, but I can only hope she’s getting the help she needs. Truly.
