Vicki Gunvalson and Jenny McCarthy were Andy Cohen‘s guests last night on Watch What Happens Live. Vicki dished on her friendship with Tamra Judge, the mock funeral Shannon Beador took part in on Real Housewives of Orange County, and more.
A lot of time was spent on Vicki and Tamra, and the poll was, Vicki and Tamra: forever friends or never again?
When asked if she was bothered when Tamra said Jeana Keough was a good friend to her this year, Vicki said, “It didn’t bother me. Jeana’s definitely always in people’s business, so it was a normal thing for her to be in her business.” Andy called attention to the shade. “It is what it is,” she added. “Jeana was very helpful to Tamra and I was not.”

Andy gushed over Tamra and Vicki‘s reconciliation on Real Housewives of Orange County last night. Jenny asked Vicki how she and Tamra have been able to mend fences so many times. Vicki said, “We film together.” Andy pushed her to admit there’s something “real” between them beyond the show, and Vicki conceded, “I love Tamra. We’re together a lot so you don’t want to be enemies. We’re friends.” Jenny snarked, “I would drink a lot.”
Andy asked Vicki how she’s changed since season one. Jenny interrupted to compliment Vicki on the cosmetic work she’s had done, saying, “Whoever is doing your work is doing an amazing job.”
Vicki said, “I’m happier now. It’s a crazy thing – I was really happy when I was raising my kids, but now all the choices are mine. I don’t have to worry about a husband. I don’t have to worry about kids. It’s just my life now.”
Looking back at her time on RHOC, Vicki said she’s most proud of renewing her vows with Donn. “Unfortunately, that didn’t work out like I wanted it to, but it was a proud moment,” she shared. “We really went in with both feet and wanted our marriage to be better.”
When asked if Briana and Brooks are on better terms these days, Vicki said to Andy, “No. They haven’t seen each other since 2 1/2 years ago, when we sat on the infamous couch with you, which will never happen again by the way.”
Vicki admitted she wasn’t a fan of David and Shannon‘s mock funeral at the couples retreat. “I didn’t like it,” she said. “My mom just died. To see them both laying there and doing a eulogy to each other I thought was very inappropriate. I do not want to ever pretend I’m dead and have someone read over me what they would say about me. They were not dead. I don’t think it’s proper marriage counseling.”
Andy said he thought it was an interesting exercise. Vicki continued, “I just buried my mother. To imagine Shannon or David deceased hurt me because I love both of them. I didn’t like it. It made me very uncomfortable.”
A caller asked Vicky why she forgives Tamra (repeatedly) but does not forgive Lauri Peterson. “I actually did see Lauri about a month ago,” she shared. “We were on a yacht cruise together, and I went up and hugged her. She was shocked. I said, ‘I forgive you. I totally messed up. But I forgive you. Let’s move on.” And we had a great day. I don’t like having conflict in my life. <Andy snarks that it only took ten seasons!> I will do whatever I can to get it out.”
A tweeter asked Vicki if she thinks Jim Edmonds treats Meghan Edmonds like a child. “Yes,” she said. “Absolutely.”
The last caller, who was drunk as a skunk, rambled on forever. When she finally managed to ask Vicki if Shannon and David will make it, Vicki said, “Only they know. How could I predict? I hope they last. I’m encouraging them to last.”
The poll results: Vicki and Tamra: friends forever (56%) or never again (44%). Vicki said, “That makes me happy. I love Tamra.”
