I had feared this was coming, but according to new reports, NeNe Leakes and Kim Zolciack‘s much-anticipated Bravo spinoff “The Road To Riches” has been cancelled!
Sources say the friends, turned enemies, turned friends had planned to shoot The Road To Riches in between Real Housewives Of Atlanta seasons and it would premiere in the fall after Don’t Be Tardy and as a precursor to RHOA season 8, but massive RHOA casting drama, along with the Kim and NeNe’s crazy schedules kept sidelining filming.

TMZ reports that Kim and NeNe are simply too egocentric popular and too demanding busy to accommodate a road trip. Kim has six kids and has been filming DBT for months – far longer than a usual season films, oddly – the fourth season premieres in August, and they just wrapped with Kim and Kroy filming a belated honeymoon.
Then NeNe landed her new job on the ABC show To Tell The Truth which seems to be the final nail in the coffin for ‘Road To Riches’! Some sources have also suggested that NeNe’s abrupt departure from RHOA cooled feelings towards her with the network, especially because, despite NeNe’s claims to the contrary, she tried to negotiate a power-play with the network for a much higher salary to come back in a part-time role. I still think that’s going to happen, by the way, and it will be a ‘SURPRISE – I’m back bitches!’ moments before the season airs.

I had expected that the spinoff may not be happened as neither NeNe nor Kim were promoting it. Bravo hasn’t confirmed the cancellation and the source reveals there’s a very slim chance it may still happen. NeNe and Kim haven’t commented on the fate of Road To Riches either. Well, I’m super bummed – I was really, really looking forward to a fun, light-hearted, silly show featuring NeNe and Kim at their best.
