With Donald Trump was unceremoniously fired from Celebrity Apprentice, NBC isn’t about to lose out on their cash-cow of a ratings grab show!
The network is moving forward with plans to restructure the show, which was recently renewed for a 15th season before Donald’s political aspirations severed his relationship with the network. NBC is hoping to find a replacement business mogul host (or hostess) who also has celebrity prowess.

Well-connected sources have leaked to TMZ that the network is actively searching for a suitable Trump replacement although they’re not making plans public just yet. They’re searching for a new host who encapsulates The Donald’s controversy and celebrity, but who also speaks to a larger (and younger) demographic. NBC is searching for “a successful minority businessperson who’s active in the inner cities.” The name currently topping their list is former NBA star Magic Johnson.
Sources quickly point out that no negotiations have begun and all discussions about furthering CA have been “internal” to NBC, but the network is compiling a list of recruits for consideration. Also on their list is George Lopez, but he doesn’t have Magic’s “business cred” cites insiders. Lopez hasn’t been contacted either.
Well, I would love for them to continue the show and think this is a good direction to go in. There’s a ton of potential hosts. I personally think Kris Jenner would be epic as well as Lisa Vanderpump. Of course, Peter Thomas is always an excellent choice with his amazing business sense and all… 😉
