Early in her second pregnancy, Kim Kardashian said, “I secretly loved the rumors I was faking my pregnancy bc I was so skinny!” but now that her pregnancy pounds are growing, she’s putting those rumors to rest. “LOL,” she tweeted, “Well can’t hide it now! 5 month (20weeks) and 20lbs up.”
Hubby Kanye West and the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star are expecting their baby boy in December of this year, although Kim was a bit off with the due date before her last check up. “Went to the Dr today for a check up, guess I was off on my 20 week mark by a week or two… But not the 20 lbs LOL,” she tweeted this weekend. But the photo above, posted July 20 on Kim’s twitter, doesn’t reveal a noticeable bump in the baby department yet (unless it was taken months before posting). Hmmm…Spanx, anyone?

Kim was dogged by the paparazzi during her first pregnancy, who tracked her reported 50 to 70-pound weight gain (depending on your source!) in constant, unflattering public images. Kim told Access Hollywood that the negative attention took it’s toll. “It really hurt my soul,” said Kim. “I was gaining weight because I was pregnant, and it was just really hard to read all these stories and hear all these nasty things.”
Kim being a Kardashian, though, looked at her former weight gain as some sort of “ugliness” test from God. She told Elle UK back in 2014, “I’d think God was doing this for a reason. He was saying: ‘Kim, you think you’re so hot, but look what I can do to you.’”
Also because she’s a Kardashian, Kim has turned pregnancy #2 into a business marketing opportunity! US Weekly reports that Kim endorsed a new anti-morning sickness pill on Instagram recently called Diclegis. “OMG. Have you heard about this?” she wrote. “As you guys know my #morningsickness has been pretty bad. I tried changing things about my lifestyle, like my diet, but nothing helped, so I talked to my doctor. He prescribed me #Diclegis, I felt a lot better and most importantly, it’s been studied and there was no increased risk to the baby.” Well, if Dr. Kim believes it’s a #NoRisk proposition, surely we can all take her medical advice with a clear conscience.
Kim added to her promotion of the pill that she’s “so excited and happy with my results that I’m partnering with Duchesnay USA to raise awareness about treating morning sickness. If you have morning sickness, be safe and sure to ask your doctor about the pill with the pregnant woman on it.”
