Shannon Beador may be baring it all on this season of the Real Housewives of Orange County, but she’s growing tired of being called the “wacky” and “crazy” housewife on the block despite having precious gems installed in her teeth.
When asked what the biggest viewer misconception about her is, Shannon told All Things Real Housewives, “That I’m wacky.” So, are we not seeing the normal, everyday Shannon that’s just like everybody else? She argues, “I’m a down to earth person with a little bit of a zingy side and that’s what makes life fun. If I hear the frickin’ word crazy one more time… it’s just not nice!”

Reflecting on her tense relationship (if one can even call it a “relationship”) with newcomer Meghan Edmonds, Shannon admits she’s still wary of the younger housewife’s intentions. Although Shannon says she reached out to her when Jim Edmonds’ first wife, Lee Ann, passed away last week, she’s otherwise steering clear of Meghan.
“I’ve kept my distance from her, because I believe she’s made a lot of below-the-belt jabs about me in her commentary that are unwarranted and they’re not true,” reveals Shannon to All Things RH. “She doesn’t know me at all. Part of me believes she’s just saying these things to be hurtful and to stir it up. She wants to bring the drama.”

Shannon has maintained that this season of RHOC starts off in the crapper for her, but gets better as the episodes roll on. Sharing, “I’m in a good place in my life right now,” Shannon says she hopes viewers get to see more happy moments for her on the show.
And as for all of the criticism that she’s exposed her kids unnecessarily to her marriage drama with husband David in front of the cameras, Shannon argues they’re teaching their kids there are things worth “fighting for.” And she promises that “there is an amazing pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, so to speak.”
