Another day, another update on the very troubled (and in trouble) Kim Richards. Former star of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Kim has had a tough summer – and spring, and decade. After being arrested in April at the Beverly Hills Hotel, she was allegedly canned from her reality gig on RHOBH, then booked again for shoplifting some seriously questionable crap from a Van Nuys Target just weeks ago.
Kim’s lawyer, Sara Caplan, is now vaguely reporting that Kim is back in a “program,” which she proved to a judge via a retainer letter so that Kim’s original Aug 20 court date (regarding the Target arrest) could be pushed back. The judge agreed to change the court date to Sept 11. Outside of court, Caplan did not comment on where Kim is locked up or for how long, saying only, “She’s doing well.”

Former reports that Kim had possibly been held by family members on a 5150 psychiatric hold are now said to be untrue, with Kim’s lawyer declining to comment on the matter further. Caplan is also declining to comment on the treatment facility Kim may be in, or even what kind of treatment she’s receiving. She firmly told the NY Daily News, “I’m not going to discuss any details of her treatment.”
MONTY BRINSON DEFENDS KIM RICHARDS ON INSTAGRAM!
Kim’s supporters have been dwindling during her downward spiral, with only former RHOBH castmate Brandi Glanville and ex-husband Monty Brinson making public and delusional declarations of support. In a recent Instagram post, Monty gushed about Kim’s “good heart” and asked the public to “Remember everyone in life goes through a rough time one way or another” adding, “I always say know the facts before being judgmental.”
Monty also claimed that “90 per-cent of what you read is completely false” about Kim. But it’s no secret that Kim’s backslide into drinking, potential mental issues, and volatile behavior over the past year (and more) have caused many fans and viewers of RHOBH to scratch their heads.
