Season 21 of Dancing with the Stars is shaping up to be quite the can’t miss program snoozefest. Several stars have confirmed their participation ahead of the official cast reveal on September 2nd. So far, I’m not impressed.
Joining the previously announced Bindi Irwin will be controversial celebrity chef Paula Deen, Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter, Triple Crown-winning jockey Victor Espinoza, music icon Chaka Khan, Vine star Hayes Grier, who is only 15 years old, and “Honey I’m Good” pop singer Andy Grammer.

No one on that list grabs my attention. That said, I wasn’t looking forward to last season’s cast either, but I quickly became a fan of both Rumer Willis and Riker Lynch. There are at least five more names yet to be revealed, so fingers crossed.
Speaking to Us Weekly, Nick said it was ‘N Sync’s Joey Fatone who talked him into DWTS. “He talks about it all the time and I was really debating if I wanted to do it, and he said, ‘It’s a great experience, it keeps you in shape and it’ll teach you a lot of stuff,'” he shared. “He said, ‘You’ll get what you put into it.’ And I’m a hard worker, so I think it’ll be fun.”
Len Goodman Isn’t Returning To Dancing With The Stars
Nick admitted that he lacks confidence in his skills despite his boy band dance experience. And, of course, he isn’t trained in ballroom dance.
“I never considered myself a great dancer,” claimed Nick. “Even though funny enough I’ve danced my entire life, I might have had a little insecurity on that end. But I had some time and I think it’ll be a cool experience. I think they can teach me some stuff. I hope maybe I can become a better dancer! It will be a great experience to learn how to ballroom dance.”
Dancing with the Stars season 21 kicks off Monday, September 14. The full cast will be revealed Wednesday, September 2 on Good Morning America.
