There’s a lot of good TV on tonight – Dancing with the Stars, Real Housewives of Orange County, and Ladies of London, oh my! Thank goodness for the DVR! – but Kim Zolciak‘s debut on Dancing with the Stars is my top priority tonight. And I assume the live TV seven second delay will be ABC‘s #1 priority.
While Kim‘s #$@%! mouth will keep ABC busy Monday nights, Tony Dovolani has been tasked with trying to keep the Don’t Be Tardy star on her toes (well, anywhere but on her ass, eating pizza and drinking wine).
Tony said he’s happy with Kim so far, adding, “She’s got a great attitude. Just getting to meet her was a pleasure because in watching her show over all these years, you kind of have an idea of what this person is. And then you meet them and you go, ‘Oh, OK, hold on they’re different,’ or, ‘They’re the same.’ And in this particular case, she is exactly what she’s like on TV. And that’s pretty cool.”

I never pegged Tony as a Don’t Be Tardy fan, but the more I think about it, it makes sense. He probably watches as much reality TV as his schedule allows, knowing one of those train wrecks is headed his way every season.
“Kim has been a blast,” Tony told The Daily Dish. “Both she and Kroy, because Kroy has been coming in quite often to support. I think the two of them are just awesome. They are a great couple. She’s fun to work with. She’s exciting. She’s got a lot going on in her life. It’s fun to see it from that aspect.”
Tony said Kim is giving Dancing with the Stars her all – and she is getting a lot of support from Kroy, Brielle, and Ariana. Not to mention, the nannies, the chef, the dog walkers, the pool boy… you know, all the people who are running the Biermann household while Kim’s dancing and Kroy’s playing football.
“She practices at home a lot, as much as she can,” said Tony. “Her daughters are completely into it and they try to help her as much as possible. Her husband, obviously you know how they met, so he is into it. He wants her to do well. She’s trying her best and that’s all you could ever ask for as a teacher. As long as your celebrity is trying her best, that’s all that matters.”
Kim Zolciak Behind-The-Scenes Of Dancing With The Stars
Will Kim and Tony win the mirror ball?
“Now whether we succeed or not, that remains to be seen because we haven’t danced yet on the live show,” added Tony. “The live show brings out sometimes the best, sometimes the worst out of a person. In this particular case, I feel like Kim‘s gonna be great.”
Tony went on to gush over how much he enjoys working with Kim, but, IMO, he kind of alludes to her being high maintenance (needing constant reassurance).
“I think we have the opportunity to really show everybody how someone can start from zero and really improve every single week,” said Tony. “We’re trying to be as clean as possible in her choreography. [Kroy and I are] trying to pump her up. I’m trying to get her focused as much as possible. But she’s got the right attitude for it. I really do like working with her because she approaches it as a mom that’s busy. She knows when she’s there she’s got to make the most of her time because she might not get that time back.”
Kim and Tony will be dancing Salsa to “Hey Mama” by David Guetta featuring Afrojack, Nicki Minaj, and Bebe Rexha tonight. “We have a very cool theme that I cannot reveal yet,” teased Tony. “We’re really really excited about it and we’re hoping we pull it off.”
