Kim Zolciak Talks Dancing With The Stars Premiere; Is She Blaming Her Bad Dancing On The Weight Of Her Dress?

Kim Zolciak on Dancing with the Stars

Kim Zolciak made her Dancing with the Stars debut Monday night. It would be an understatement to say it did not go well. All three judges, Carrie Ann Inaba, Julianne Hough, and Bruno Tonioli, gave Kim a score of 4 out of 10.

On the live show, Kim seemed to take the bad news well (unlike someone else whose stank attitude is always on display) and merely whispered “Oh my gosh. Horrible.” to pro partner Tony Dovolani in response to their 12/30 score. After the show, however, the Don’t Be Tardy star took her frustrations out on Delta.

Before she hightailed it back to Atlanta, Kim admitted to E! that the Dancing with the Stars premiere was “a lot to take in.”

Is she ready for week 2? “Yes, I get the dance,” shared Kim. “But letting go is a very hard thing to do for somebody who is in such control of their children and their life and what they have going on. That’s something I just definitely need to work on. I knew that coming in, and I’ll work on it until I win.”

Kim is proud of herself, “Like, I did this. I leave my children to come and do this. I usually film at home with my children so this is a big step for me. I did this dance. A minute seems like a lifetime. I was just like, “Tony! Thank you!’ I have the best dance partner ever. I’m just grateful.”

About her tears, Kim insisted, “For me it was tears of joy, happiness. I am really proud of me, even though they don’t think I did great, in my mind I did great.”

When the interviewer gushed over Kim‘s tiny waist, she said, “That is definitely genetics.” <snort>

With the first show and the airport tantrum behind her, Kim was able to poke a little fun at herself back home (where she can control everything) in Atlanta.

Kim Zolciak pokes fun at DWTS

Kim shared this photo of Kaia on Instagram, adding, “When your 20 month old dances better than you. #DWTS #HappyToBeHome #MissMyBabies”

Kim also posted this video of Monday’s rehearsal, showing off her moves and pointing out that her dress weighed 30 pounds. So it’s the dress’s fault… got it.

“Rehearsal Monday!!! I was having a blast!!! Simply adore Tony Dovolani!!! #DWTS #HaveFunSayCheeezzz #MyDressAtThePerformanceWeighed30lbs”

Lucky for Kim, no one was eliminated this week. This week’s judges scores and fan votes will be added to next week’s scores and votes, then TWO stars will be eliminated next week.

As if that wasn’t stressful enough, the stars have to learn TWO dances for next Monday night’s show. In the promo clip, Kim asked Tony, “How do you teach somebody to learn two dances in four days when it’s taken me 10 days to learn one?” He said, “I pray a lot.”
