Kim Zolciak suffered a transient ischemic attack, also known as a mini stroke, after back-to-back nights of Dancing with the Stars last week. Kim broke the news on Instagram, sharing that she was rushed to the hospital on Wednesday after she lost the feeling in her left side and her ability to speak.
Originally, the Don’t Be Tardy star expected to be released from the hospital on Thursday. That didn’t happen. On Friday, Kim shared that she was going in for “one more procedure” but “things were looking up.” TMZ has since learned that the procedure Kim had done wasn’t for the stroke, but for a serious, underlying heart condition which was discovered while Kim was in the hospital.

As it turns out, Kim‘s TIA may have saved her life. “Doctors told Kim if the heart problem were left untreated, it could have become life-threatening,” said TMZ.
Kim was released from the hospital over the weekend. “I want to thank everyone for their love and support over the past few days,” Kim told E!. “I am now home with my family, resting and taking care of my health.”
About Dancing with the Stars, she shared, “I can’t express enough how much I love dancing and this whole experience… and I hope this will not be the end of dancing.”
Kim is delusional if she expects to be medically cleared to fly across the country today. And, even if she were, it’s less than twelve hours until showtime, with no dance learned, no camera blocking, no dress rehearsal.
More than likely, Kim and Tony will not dance tonight. Assuming Kim survives tonight’s elimination (based on Tuesday’s judges scores and fan votes), she will need fan votes alone to push her forward next week. Best case scenario (IMO) is, Kim is eliminated tonight. She can say ‘it was meant to be’ or ‘it’s for the best’ and walk away with minimal backlash.
