After the Evine debut of their skincare line, Consult Beaute, on this week’s Real Housewives of Orange County, Heather and Terry Dubrow are not about to let a little thing like Brooks Ayers‘ tired old cancer-ish storyline steal their thunder! Heather took to her blog to discuss the trials and tribulations of live TV and her “man up” speech to Terry – which, she says, worked like a charm. But on the topic of Brooks? Heather’s silence is…deafening. (Good thing she dished a wee bit on WWHL with Andy Cohen after the show Monday night!)
Of their shopping channel stint, Heather gushes, “Wow, 15 years in the making and here we are ready to launch what we feel is the best version of our skincare ever with new cutting edge technology! Welcome to CONSULT BEAUTE!” She adds that “Live TV is really fun. I enjoy thinking on my feet and talking directly into the camera. Filming for a shopping channel is crazy though because there are no commercial breaks! Some of our shows that weekend were three hours long! Terry had never done live TV and even though I was confident in him he seemed so nervous and I didn’t want him to have any regrets.”

After Terry’s flubbed rehearsal, Heather says she decided to take matters into her own hands. Those 14 bathrooms with gold-plated toilet seats aren’t going to build themselves, after all! “As far as my ‘man up’ speech vs. my ‘baby him’ technique…I went the former this time and it worked!” explains Heather. “I was so proud of Terry, he NAILED IT and we had the biggest beauty launch in EVINE history! CONSULT BEAUTE is now the fast growing brand on EVINE as well.”
Heather goes on to provide a link for we-of-the-dry-and-aging-skin to check out a “‘let’s get started’ kit at an incredible price.” She also expresses thanks to Meghan Edmonds “for getting all the girls together to watch us on EVINE, SO appreciate it!”
Although the look on Heather’s face during Tamra Judge’s prank call read more like I will kill you in your sleep, lady than Haha! Fun joke! Heather claims, “Tamra calling in as ‘Cinnamon’ was really funny and I was touched by the support of my ‘sisters’. (Just for the record, Terry didn’t have a spray tan, the makeup artist turned him orange!!!)” Well, at least that explains things.
Happy that she finally received the validation she wanted from Terry after their Evine segment, Heather closes her blog with word of thanks to her partner in reality TV crime. “I also want to thank my incredible husband for the sweet words he said to me after the EVINE show. Terry, I love you so much. We are partners forever. Not perfect, but perfect together.”
Speaking of reality TV partnerships, Heather spills that she will be joining Terry in mid-October on a new Botched spin off/talk show that Heather (of course!) will host. “We have so many fun things coming up to share! Botched returns on October 6 on E!. Then our NEW SHOW BOTCHED: POST OP will premiere on Tuesday, October 13th at 10pm on E! right after an all new BOTCHED! It’s a really cool talk show that I’m hosting where we go behind the scenes and talk to Terry, Paul, patients, super fans, and all things BOTCHED.”
Well, well. The Dubrows may not be hell-bent on “taking down the Beadors” (allegedly) anymore, but they sure are parlaying their D-list fame into…I don’t know, D-plus fame? Nah, I can’t hate on them, actually. Good for Heather and Terry! At least they’re not subjecting us to endless marriage counseling scenes from hell or stalking Brooks‘ doctors like it’s their full time job. (Looking at you, Meghan!)
