This goes to show that just because it’s abuzz on the web, doesn’t necessarily make it true. Recently, rumors were in full force claiming that Kelly Bensimon and Heather Thomson couldn’t stand to be near each other during a United Nations event – dedicated to peace, oddly enough. However, Kelly Bensimon denied the rumors last week, and this week she is at it again.
In fact, according to Bensimon, the Real Housewives of New York stars are actually great friends, and she has no idea why anyone would say such a thing, or who would for that matter. Oh, and in case you were wondering, Bensimon also dished on exactly why she attended the event!

Yep, don’t believe everything you hear, folks. This just goes to prove that. With rumors of drama between Kelly Bensimon and Heather Thomson in full force during a United Nations event recently, Bensimon wants to clear the air.
“Who told you that!!! No chance at all. We are great friends. Heather and I were chatting like crazy about how my daughter Teddy is a super fan of Yummie Tummie and I can’t wait to try her jeans. I co-hosted one of her segments last July on HSN’s THE LIST where she sold over 40,000 units in front of me. Love Heather, her husband, and especially YUMMIE TUMMIE,” Kelly told Bravo about the drama, err, lack of drama between the two.

Whew, we’re certainly glad there is no drama going on between the two. Kelly made mention last week also that she had no issue with Thomson, so someone obviously has nothing better to do than stir up trouble.
Meanwhile, Bensimon also dished about her involvement at the event, in case you were wondering. “I attended the UN event to raise awareness for food poverty since I’m an ambassador for Food Bank4NYC — which feeds 1.5 million New Yorkers — and for Generosity.org, which is a clean water initiative which my oldest daughter Sea and I work with in Haiti. What an honor to be invited to the United Nations,” Bensimon went on to add.
