Bruce Jenner’s transition to Caitlyn has definitely not been easy for the Kardashian patriarch, as we’ve watched her struggle on I Am Cait. But believe it or not, it’s been just as hard on the Kardashian/Jenner “kids”, although we’re still not convinced that none of the family had any clue as to what was going on. Whether they knew or not, it was still hard to process, especially since they found out while the cameras were rolling.
That’s right, Khloe Kardashian opened up in a new interview with Ellen DeGeneres that is set to air later today, and we’ve got the details. In the interview, Kardashian dishes on how Bruce wasn’t very honest at first, and why it hit her so hard. Get all the juicy details after the jump.

Admitting that you are truly a woman deep down inside even though you were born a man has got to be challenging, but for Bruce Jenner, he revealed it to millions of people, who tuned into to the Diane Sawyer special that ran a few months ago. However, admitting it to your family is a whole different story. And Bruce, now Caitlyn, seemed to struggle with that.

“He kept telling us one thing, but really he knew he was transitioning and wouldn’t be honest with us. So we felt like we were kind of the last to know so that was hard for us. Especially me. I defended him for so long or whatever,” Khloe Kardashian recently told Ellen DeGeneres in an interview that is set to air today (thanks to People Magazine for the video clip).
But these days, Khloe has forgiven Caitlyn and is a bit more understanding, though it wasn’t always that way. “I think the biggest part for me was understanding that Bruce is totally separate than Caitlyn. I don’t think Bruce knew fully that when he would be Caitlyn I’m sure he no one knows what’s going to happen, we’re all doing this for the first time.”
Khloe went on to dish, “I’m sure he probably hoped maybe glimmers of Bruce would be there. But if your soul really wanted to be a female this whole time I can’t expect that. So now that we know that he’s, Caitlyn, he’s not Bruce. They’re two separate people.” Kardashian also admitted that the kids still call Caitlyn “dad,” and they are hoping to be able to spend Christmas with her.
