Veritable money-making machine, Kim Kardashian West has struck oil yet again and this time, it’s with the launch of her new app, ‘Kimoji,’ a series of emojis dedicated to what else, all things Kim. The eponymous app comes on the heels of the recent birth of Kim and Kanye West’s son, Saint, born earlier this month.
The app’s icons include Kim’s famous bodacious derrière, her crying face, middle finger salute, waist trainer and her sister Kylie’s now famed trout mouth. Why did the serial entrepreneur, who is reportedly worth around $85 million, feel it necessary to gift her Dash Dolls with Kim-infused speech bubbles as a way to communicate via text? Regarding Kimoji, Kim told Rolling Stone Magazine back in July, “I wanted to do really fun, different emojis that you don’t see on your phone,” said the 35-year-old pop icon.
Kim, now considered to be a major tech industry player, launched a wildly successful mobile game last year entitled, Kim Kardashian: Hollywood. The game app raked in a reported $200 million in revenue by year’s end. Kim’s next ka-ching tekkie venture, involved the launch of her lifestyle website this past September, along with her sisters – Kourtney Kardashian being the most recent as she launched her site last week.
Now the question remains, will this latest app be a hit for the 35-year-old divalicious reality star? Time will tell.
