Luann de Lesseps and Sonja Morgan room-mating it up this season on Real Housewives of New York is my new favorite thing about the Real Housewives. These two co-habitating is going to be comedic gold. (We need more franchises to try this out!) In her new blog this week, The Countess talks about life at Sonja’s townhouse and so much more.
There’s a lot of Kool-Aid drinking going on in the Real Housewives this week! First it was happening over in Beverly Hills and now it has spread to NYC. Gives new meaning to “there’s something in the water.” Luann writes, “As I watched this episode and heard what some of the ladies had to say about me, it became apparent which girls are my true friends and which are not. With Bethenny, once she stops talking to you, she starts talking about you. She’s obviously been drinking the Carole Kool-Aid.” On her Odd Couple living situation with Sonja, “I’ve been having so much fun staying with Sonja while I look for an apartment. She’s a very positive person, and she’s been a good friend to me throughout the years.”
Lu also shares her dating advice, “As I told Sonja, I’d love to meet Mr. Right and get remarried. I’m a hopeless romantic, and I’ve never stopped believing in true love. You will hear some of the ladies judge me for my active dating life, but at least I’m dating! Do you ever hear me judging the other girls about who they date? NO, because it’s none of my business. No one’s ever found love sitting at home…so single ladies, get out and get dating!”

Speaking of getting out there and dating, Luann is happy for Ramona and says divorce suits her, but she’s still shocked at the way Ramona treated Dorinda. “I admire how Ramona has moved on from Mario.” adding, “She went through a tough time last year no doubt but I must say, divorce suits her. Does she talk too much? Yes. Is she on the right track to happiness? I think so, but the way she treated Dorinda in front of the other ladies was deplorable. Dorinda handled the situation as best as she could while under attack. That’s not what friends do.”
Luann was annoyed at the girls obsessing over Dorinda’s boyfriend and thinks they should just leave her be. She’s also not amused by the trash talk going on, “As you can see, while Bethenny and Carole are dissing me at the lingerie party, Dorinda and Jules didn’t join in the slander. Dorinda’s a great friend, and I’m glad she’s in my corner. Good for Jules for not being a hater. How did a bra fitting turn into brouhaha?”
More on her issues with Carole and Bethenny, “Carole can’t pass up the chance to judge me, and she has crawled so far up Bethenny’s anus that she can’t hear me saying that I wish her and Adam all the best. The reality is that I’m happy if they are happy. I’m busy with my own life, and I don’t spend time focusing on them. As for her making a Luann “pros and cons” list, grow up! At least I’m honest about who I am and what I do. I apologize when I’m wrong and move on. I’m not a person who dwells in the past. My best friends know that I say what I mean and I mean what I say.”
Luann adds, “I believe that it’s not about who is being real to your face but who is being real behind your back! I was genuinely looking forward to celebrating Bethenny’s birthday with her at her upcoming Hamptons ho-down, but if she doesn’t invite me, so what? It’s not my style to invite myself to parties. With friends like these, who needs a new bra?”
