Lisa Vanderpump and 4,000 of her closest friends (including Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-star Kyle Richards) took over West Hollywood Park yesterday for World Dog Day, to help bring awareness to the Stop Yulin Forever movement and Lisa’s desire to “clear the shelters” and find homes for all dogs.
Some of the celebrities that turned out to support Lisa and Ken included her Vanderpump Rules stars Tom Sandoval, Scheana Shay, and Jax Taylor. Also spotted: Little Women: LA star Tonya Banks, Lisa’s BFF Lance Bass and more.

Lisa told the local NBC station that she got the idea for World Dog Day from a celebration in Nepal where they honor dogs. “We’ve been so immersed in negativity with trying to stop the torture of dogs, so let’s try to garner support for how wonderful they are and maybe educate people on the other side of the world that dogs are our friends, not food.”
Vanderpump Rules started filming last week, so there’s a good chance we’ll be seeing footage of the World Dog Day event on the show next season.
