It is easy to hate on Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner. They are rich and famous super models who were rich and famous from the day they were born. Nevertheless, it does seem like they both do their best to stand on their own instead of relying on their famous families and they are more successful than anyone thought they would be.
They are really legitimate models – well, that is something that a lot of people think. One person who disagrees with this statement is Stephanie Seymour, who took some cheap shots at the girls. As expected, Gigi‘s mom, Yolanda Foster, was not going to let that slide.

Stephanie Seymour decided to mouth off about Gigi and Kendall to be relevant again in an interview with Vanity Fair. Stephanie looked down on the new generation of supermodels when she said, “They are completely different than we were. Supermodels are sort of the thing of the past. They deserve their own title. [Kendall and Gigi] are beautiful girls, and I support all of them, but they need their own title.” When asked what that title would be, she apparently laughed and said, “Bitches of the moment! That would be a good title for them.”
Well, sounds like someone is a little bitter and not ready to pass down the torch by any means. It doesn’t sound like she actually “supports all of them.” And Yolanda picked up on that and went in for the defense. Yolanda told TMZ, “It’s sad to see some of these beautiful semi-retired supermodels, who are mothers themselves now, feel the need to publicly put down someone else’s daughter.”
TMZ also said that Yolanda believes that “Seymour should work on leaving a positive legacy and be supportive of the new generation.” That last part makes sense. I don’t even think it really matters that Stephanie was hating on “someone else’s daughter,” but it is just more about the fact that she felt the need to take away from any human being’s success seemed pretty childish.

Honestly, I had no idea that Stephanie ever said anything about Kendall and Gigi until I saw that Yolanda and Kendall clapped back at her. On her personal website and app, Kendall wrote, “If you’re going to tell us not to be in ‘your moment,’ then don’t be in mine! But, if you choose to be a cyberbully, I’m going to stick up for myself. If people want to call Gigi and I supermodels now, it doesn’t take anything away from supermodels of the past. Obviously, I have so much respect for those women, but right now, we’re the models of this time. Significant? Maybe. Hardworking? For sure.” Well said, Kendall.
Unlike the rest of her family, Kendall likes to stay away from the drama, so she must have been pretty peeved to actually respond to Stephanie’s pettiness. She checked her hard, but in a pretty eloquent way.
Not only did Kendall hit Stephanie with that well-written burn, but she made her look even worse when she revealed that she has received plenty of help and encouragement from more experienced models. Kendall said, “That’s the classy way to behave and I fully intend on being a positive influence on anyone younger than me, my entire life.”
