Tamra Judge was candid as ever on Jenny McCarthy’s Sirius radio show “Dirty, Sexy, Funny.” The Real Housewives of Orange County star didn’t hold back on topics like her (non) friendship with Vicki Gunvalson, her thoughts on Kelly Dodd and more!
Jenny shares that she thinks since Vicki didn’t take Briana’s side in the whole Brooks thing that there is something seriously wrong “upstairs.” Tamra says she’s given up trying to figure Vicki out and believes that she and Brooks are soulmates. “They’re a match made in heaven.”
Jenny is convinced that Vicki doesn’t like to be alone and Tamra agrees. “But you don’t want a douchebag! That’s not attractive to me.” Jenny ponders if it’s Brooks or if Vicki is just desperate? Tamra says “Or maybe she’s just like him!? You hang out with dogs, you get fleas. Maybe she needs a flea collar?”
Is Tamra on good terms with Vicki? “Can’t you tell? I took her back this year and accepted her half-ass apology, forgave the past and tried to move on only to get burned again. She was behind my back with a machete this time.” Tamra swore that just one more thing would mean she’s done for good and now she is.
Tamra said at how things played out because they had a lot of fun this season and she was excited to have her friend back. “I thought, she’s away from the douche, now she’s going to be like the old Vicki. No, not so much. It hurts my feelings because we’ve been friends off and on for ten years. We’ve gone through a lot together. We’ve gone through becoming grandmas, health concerns, divorces, and all that stuff. We have a lot of history.”
Jenny asks Tamra if she thinks part of the issue is the show. Tamra says, “I think she’s caught up in the show. She doesn’t even know what her reality is anymore. When you create a storyline, that’s when it’s time for you to go. It might be time for the O.G. to G-O.” Tamra adds, “who creates the storyline that you have cancer because you want someone to bring you a casserole and feel sorry for you?”
Tamra says that Vicki definitely helped cover up things. “She started lying about it before we even started the filming last year. She told this story about how she had to call Terry Dubrow in the middle of the night to administer an IV and he sent over one of his colleagues, which is absolutely illegal. If you’re a cancer patient, you call your doctor immediately and you are rushed in.”
Jenny asks if it’s true that Vicki was stalking Brooks? Tamra says she stalks him on Facebook and creates fake accounts. She then mentions Vicki’s claim of crying in the street over Brooks leaving. Tamra is confused why Vicki didn’t kick him to the curb, why is HE leaving HER?
Tamra talked about her health and bringing her body fat down from 28% down to 13% in just six months. She shared that is hard to film when you’re not drinking because you realize how dumb people are and how ridiculous the conversations can be. She did allow herself one drunken night during the cast trip to Scotland and she said it was a fun night.
How has being baptized and becoming a grandmother changed her? “Baptism was a big deal for me. I was really afraid to do it on air because I felt like it was something very personal, but they talked me into it. And I’m glad I did it. I inspired a lot of people.” Jenny says Donnie cried during it. Tamra says that she is normally a very impulsive person without a lot of filters but now she gets up every morning at 4:30 and does her stationary bike for an hour and reads the Bible, “and it just sets my day. It really does. I’m not saying that I don’t screw up, but it makes me think before I speak and have more compassion for people.”
Tamra says that she and Ryan’s on-again/off-again girlfriend Sarah have gone to battle a few times. She says that things aren’t that great in their relationship right now and sometimes Tamra gets stuck in the middle, often getting the blame since she is the one who raised Ryan. But she’s trying to find a balance and stay out of the middle of it. She and Sarah are close and she loves her, but it’s tricky when her and Ryan aren’t getting along. She is learning to stay out of it because they’re fighting one day and fine the next.
Tamra touched on the dune buggy accident and shared that Vicki was airlifted out because of their location – not because of the severity of her injuries. It’s just the standard protocol because the local hospital doesn’t handle any sort of trauma, so anyone in any kind of accident gets airlifted. And it costs $70,000! “So people that go there, get the insurance for $50!”
“It was a freak accident. We were in an area called overlook. I’ve been going to Glamis all my life and I looked at Eddie and said ‘I don’t like this. I’m not comfortable right here.’ So I went down the hill and was messing around and then went to the other side of the hill and I felt good and we went up this dune and I don’t know what was on the other side and I just remember Heather in the front with me saying a very calm voice ‘We are going to roll.'” She said they went up and hit the sand with her front left tire and just rolled. Tamra said that she warned the ladies ahead of time to cross their arms and be sure their harnesses were fastened just in case of this exact type of scenario. Tamra said that Kelly didn’t have her harness on and her helmet went flying, so she’s VERY lucky.
They then dish a little on Kelly, who Tamra jokes “already has a head injury.” She laughs, “maybe it would’ve knocked some sense into her.” Jenny asks Tamra to describe Kelly in one sentence. “Head injury. Whacked.” Jenny asks if she’s crazy and Tamra says “yeah.” Jenny asks “Showbiz crazy or mental crazy/chemical crazy?” And Tamra sighs, “chemical crazy.”
Just a side note that Tamra will be on WWHL tonight after the new episode of RHOC.
