It was hard to figure out how I felt about Real Housewives of Dallas. At first, I thought the entire cast was annoying. Then they really started to grow on me, but I quickly grew tired of the constant poop-related story lines, LeeAnne Locken talking about the “charity world”, and Brandi Redmond and Stephanie Hollman using the phrase “Jesus juice” to describe wine. These women were doing the most and it wasn’t always the best.
As the season went on, I became more invested (as I always do), so I feel like there is some potential here, but the show is far from perfect. With so many super successful Real Housewives shows, it makes me wonder if the Dallas series will be renewed for a second season.

The King of Bravo Andy Cohen called in to the Kidd Kraddick Morning Show for Dish Nation and the conversation moved to the Real Housewives of Dallas. When asked why Andy didn’t cast the show’s co-host Kelly Rasberry to be on Real Housewives of Dallas, Andy said, “I wished that I would have thought of it. We’re looking around in case we do Season Two. You want to throw your name in the hat?” Is Andy trying to be mysterious here or is the future of RHOD really up in the air? I know it wasn’t a major hit, but it’s hard to tell if it would be dropped.
Andy also said, “There IS a potential second season of the Real Housewives of Dallas, you bet.” Well, yeah. There is technically potential for every show to have another season, but there is just something not right about RHOD. I don’t know if they just need a whole new cast or if some subtle changes need to be made, but Andy also said, “We always shake it up a little bit. Now that the reunion has aired and all the dust is settling, we’re taking a look back and reevaluating and figuring out who we want to keep and who we want to let go.”

Kellie Rasberry said to Andy, “We think we want to get rid of poop and charity. That’s what we need to get rid of.” Don’t get me wrong, I one hundred percent agree with her sentiment, but the really shocking thing is what Andy said in response: “You mean Brandi and LeeAnne?” Although these two brought the most annoying aspects to the show (poop and exploitation of charity), they were the only ones who brought any actual story lines, so it would be very surprising for these two of all people to be cut from the cast.
I’m not sure if Bravo is just looking to see who they can find to be a part of the show to make it better or if they’re just going to cut out of the lineup to focus on the better shows, but I’m definitely curious to see what happens.
