To say that I am excited for the Real Housewives of New Jersey premiere has to be the understatement of the century. I miss the queen of New Jersey, Teresa Giudice, and I am so curious to see her relationship with sister-in-law Melissa Gorga progress.
If you follow the ladies on social media, it is obvious that they are BFF’s now, but that is a major turnaround compared to the drama and animosity the viewers are used to seeing between them on the show. I cannot wait to see how they go from glorified enemies to genuinely loyal best friends. I never thought this would happen, but I’m super happy about it and so are they.

Since Real Housewives of New Jersey is airing new episodes soon, a lot of the ladies are doing interviews to promote the show. So even though we have to wait until July 10 to see the action unfold, there have been plenty of interesting soundbites coming from these interviews.
Teresa spoke to People about the changes in her relationship with Melissa. She did not reveal a lot (since she wants us to watch the show to see how it all goes down), but she did share her thoughts about the strengthened bond between them ever since Teresa was released from prison. Teresa said, “We’re past all the drama and we’re back to how we always were. Everything is amazing.”

So if this is how they “always were,” how come we saw the exact opposite from the second Melissa joined the show? Teresa explained, “Fame got in the way. I don’t know if everyone knows that but it’s really exactly what happened. I always accepted Melissa when she came into the family with open arms, and that’s it. It’s just back to how it was.”
I’m sure there’s a little more to it than fame being some third party that broke them up, but I’m just happy to see these two getting along. Plus, the Season 7 trailer reassures me that Melissa and Teresa getting along is anything but boring. Sure, they might not be fighting with each other anymore, but it looks like they are really willing to go to bat for each other when attacked by the others (cough cough Jacqueline Laurita).
